I didn’t get thanks a couple of days ago and I actively screenshotted the BBC page and everything.

Only an hour or so until lunchtime and I’ve nothing better to do so here’s the latest BBC goss, none of which reveals anything new apart from City supposedly interested in buying Frimpong back. Oh, and Lorenzo Lucca, whoever he may be.

Newcastle have joined Manchester United, Tottenham, West Ham, Chelsea and Liverpool in expressing their interest in Lille’s Canada striker Jonathan David, 25. (i Sport)

Liverpool will rival Arsenal for the signature of Frankfurt’s 22-year-old French striker Hugo Ekitike during the summer transfer window. ( Mirror, external)

But Manchester United are racing Newcastle and a number of top European clubs to sign Ekitike. (Football Insider), external

Nottingham Forest, Arsenal and Liverpool are interested in Udinese and Italy striker Lorenzo Lucca, 24, while Manchester United and West Ham are tracking the Serie A club’s French defender Oumar Solet, 25. (Messaggero Veneto, in Italian), external

Liverpool’s England defender Jarell Quansah is reportedly interesting Newcastle, but the Reds are not considering selling the 22-year-old. (Athletic - subscription required)

Manchester City are plotting a move to re-sign Bayer Leverkusen right-back Jeremie Frimpong, 24, with Liverpool also interested in the Netherlands defender. ( Teamtalk , external)

Liverpool are expecting a big proposal from the Saudi Pro League for Uruguay striker Darwin Nunez, 25. (Football Transfers)

On the bright side, his song writes itself:

His name is Lucca
All he does is score and score
Your striker might get two
Lorenzo will get three or four

(With apologies to Suzanne Vega.)

Why would the Saudis want Nunez. He can’t trap a bag of sand ….

He seems like he’s had 15 different hairstyles looking at Google images.

Saudi will save us with the money for Henderson, Fabinho and Nunez.

Wonder how much they will pay for Jay Spearing?

Is he the lad who went against team orders to take a penalty and got subbed off immediately after scoring it?

Apparently yes.

He’s also had more clubs that Rory Mcilroy.

Seen some talk elsewhere of links to Wolfsburg forward Mohamed Amoura. Hadn’t seen the links myself but had a look this morning and it’s been reported in a few different places since Feb. Sport Bild being one source.

Wouldn’t put any weight in them but thought I’d share with the group in case you lot were as oblivious as me.
I’ve never heard of him, like.

Oddly on loan from Union SG in Belgium. Not sure how that worked. Union SG signed him and then loaned him out to Wolfsburg who are evidently better and he seems to be getting the same amount of game time.

Maybe they have money issues and it was an easy way not to sell him but get his wages off their books.

Have seen him in a couple of games I remember it might be because he is easy on the eye or he might have played well.

Amoura played against us twice last season and scored.

Union do get a number of players who are on their way for bigger things.

Haha go for it, I was already considering doing so as I’d rate Press Association as being a fairly reliable source.
