So the agent telling journalists he’s favourite to go to Chelsea because of his agent.
Sounds like someone trying to pump up his wages.

Fucking Mail. Chelsea “blowing away” their rivals. How did that work out for them?
Clickbait whores.
Another transfer window won.
In all honesty, this article is behind the paywall, so it’s not all clickbait. Still, both Daily Mail journalists that cover Liverpool and Chelsea are in agreement over Chelsea being favourites. We’ll see what happens.
Every chance we’re just not as interested as Chelsea are.
£50m+ is a lot of money for us to pay for a lad who isn’t gonna start more than, what, 25% if matches if VVD and Konate stay fit.
Knowing what the team have been through in 2020/21, the uncertainty over Konate’s future, his and Gomez’ physical unreliability and Quansah’s lack of experience, a quality centre back is a must-buy this summer. Whether that’s Huijsen or someone else, I don’t really care, I just want to see club get a good player who will be fully committed to the team.
So not this Chelsea loving RealMadrid wantaway then
You would you take any of the Arsenal back ups.
It depends - I wasn’t impressed with Kiwior but he’s put in a few great performances since Gabriel got injured. Calafiori, I like very much, I’d have him at Liverpool (as a centre back, not as a left back, though).
The point i was going to make is that the level you are looking at if you have 2 established centre backs.
I don’t think so.
I think a centre back is number five after both full backs, a striker and a versatile midfielder.
I think those four are essential. I think a CB is a nice to have.
Isn’t he really injury prone?

Amaro Nallo… Just saying that this guy might get some first team action next season
Of course. If you are a young player and had one good season, we will probably not throw ridiculous money and expect them to earn their renewal. But Chelsea will especially they will think they had a “good” season after the stinkers they had recently so will support the manager. They will throw money, they will never learn and they will continue to struggle next season if they go on a shopping spree again.

If Chelsea signs Hujisen, could we put in a bid for Chabolah or Tosin (or one of the other lads)? At least one of them should be decent.
So if Huijsen does go there, in light of the great thing we’ve got going on at Liverpool, his judgment is called into question for me and it becomes a bullet dodged.
Agree with this unequivocally.
Any player who chooses any club in England over Liverpool at this moment in time is doing so purely for the money; in football terms, there isn’t anywhere better to be at the moment.

To be honest, I’m starting to feel uneasy with regards to Konate’s contract situation and rumours regarding Newcastle’s long-time interest in Quansah. Ironically, if you look at our CB situation, only Quansah has a long-term contract.
For what it’s worth, I think or, more likely, I hope that Gomez will leave this summer, that Quansah will take up his “versatile defender” role in the side, that Konate will extend his contract and that a quality new centre back will arrive. Regardless of Konate’s contract situation, Van Dijk won’t be here forever, so it’s high time the club started the succession plan for him.

I think he missed a fair chunk of Arsenal’s season but I got the impression it was due to mismanagement of his initial injury. I genuinely wouldn’t know without looking it up on Internet.

My guess is Konaté is probably waiting to see what happens with Alexander-Arnold’s contract.
As for Quansah, we’re talking about a player who joined our youth team at 5 years of age, and who is still rather young. I’m not sure there’s appetite from him nor the club for him to leave.
