I put it in the same category as Dom. The player is obviously really good, but it didnt seem at the time the rumours started an obvious fit given what the CW was that we needed at the time. So the rumours were taken with a pinch of salt, but are juicy AF. If we pull it off I’ll be excited first and then just wait until it’s all done an dusted to think about how it’s all supposed to go together,
And to me that’s the best bit about this summer. I have ideas of what we need to do, but I am fascinated to see what happens as we see a plan enacted based on what Slot thinks we need.
Sounds terrific. The question is do we spend that money there when we have so many other roles to fill; more specifically could he play further forward as a deeper CF?
We just committed a huge wedge to Salah but it’s clear he can’t be asked to play every game, especially not those whilst he’s away at the AFCON.
Having a winger who could also play as a 9, 10 or even over on the left would give plenty of opportunities for game time whilst still giving Salah the majority of the minutes on the right wing.
It’s also great to have bench options who can come on and play a variety of positions.
