Iād seen that as well but there was also a rumour that Rennes wanted Matip as a replacement for Theate. That could just be fans putting 2 and 2 together and getting 5.
Well itās basically LāEquipe who are saying it they also linked it the week before without the Matip connection.
As with any of these we will have to be working behind closed doors to see them happen. I wonāt be overly happy if we donāt at least see another player in but there isnāt much we as fans can do.

Iād take 130m upfront on the proviso that itās locked in now for a deal in summer 2025. And if they say no to that, Id say that then you can fuck off back to your camels and you are never getting him while heās under contract here, regardless of price.

As someone made the point we should put a full stop on Fabinho and Henderson.
Apparently the reasons they want him now is a tournament theyāve known about for at least a few years (and qualified for when their season finished last time out) and another Saudi club fancy him and will push for him next summer.
On that basis why would Liverpool sell him now?
