We were definitely strongly linked to Dembele when he was looking to leave Rennes, but again may have been guzumped by Dortmund due to their willingness to move on an inexperienced player with only French league experience than we were.

To be fair, France is an absolute hotbed of talent. Sadly I think PSG are waking up to that being their route to success rather than trying to build an all star team.

I remember we were being heavily linked with a move for Lemar but again that was I think Pre-Klopp. Then Arsenal stepped in with some crazily big bid but still missed out on closing the deal. He then Atletico the following season, I think.
