That must’ve been Dembele.

The reported interest in Aurélien Tchouaméni before Real swooped in, seemed to be genuine

After watching the CL final the French players had speed to burn and they all can dribble their way of the press hence why we need Ekitike he is very quick and can dribble he is tall and very useful on set pieces. He will be able to keep up with Dembele Doué and Barcola.

We were in for Camavinga as well.

Liverpool favourites to sign Gyokeres now. Bet 365 betting odds followed by Arsenal.

I will support him if he arrives, but he seems like a striker destined to lose someone a lot of money

Gyokeres seems like an old-fashioned forward, a bit Haaland-like if you will. I’m not sure he’s the type of striker Liverpool will be after, I assume they would like someone who is more involved in build-up, even if they get the Wirtz deal over the line.

I also keep forgetting that club’s interest in Huijsen was genuine and that there’s still no breakthrough in negotiations over Konate’s new deal, so a centre back might be on this summer’s agenda as well.

Let’s bridge the gaps and make up for all those previously irreconcilable differences by selling them Doak and buying Branthwaithe!

Does anyone put any stock at all in the stories breaking over the weekend of our failed attempt to gazzump City’s Cherki deal? That sort of panicked last minute move does not seem at all how we work so it strikes me as a PR story floated by City to demonstrate their pulling power (Wirtz turned us down, but Cherki turned them down so done ever say city dont have pull).

This is genuinely the first time I’ve heard that story. You’d think Liverpool would have got him by now had they wanted to.

Thirty million dollars please.

If we wanted Cherki he’d be on his way here or dare I say he’d already be here as there seemed to be an open secret in January that Lyon were open to do business and sell him then.

City have a De Bruyne shaped hole to fill. They didn’t get their preferred option in Wirtz. Any stories after that are just a case of “I didn’t fancy her anyway…”

Everton would be a good move for Doak, assuming we are willing to sell. It has to be a fair price though, as other clubs have shown interest.

25M pounds probably sees the deal happen.

Everton isn’t a good move for anyone.

Poor kid!

If we are in the deal of selling Doak to Everton. It should be 10m transfer fee premium.

I might be overcome by end of season generosity. I don’t see Everton in relegation trouble any time soon. They are starting a new chapter in a new stadium. Doak is an exciting young player who could spark to life even more under a doting Scottish manager.

Still, fair enough. Horrible club. Horrible fans. Horrible team. Our last game with them - their famous 2-2 win at Goodison, underscored all that.

Exactly.I’d rather see him somewhere like Brighton or Brentford. Somewhere with a good young trainer and a positive football style.

I’d rather not sell Doak until we have our forward situation settled. Unless his contract is about to expire, he’s still valuable depth that may get called into action if we end up selling Chiesa, Diaz, Nunez, Jota. He’s young and he’s got loads of pace, which in and of itself makes him a valuable commodity.
