The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Well, I’m not sure I want to sell Nat to City either, to be fair.

I might be misremembering but I thought his penultimate season at Leeds he was out injured for lengthy periods of time, and he missed a fair few games at City. A quick look on Transfermarket, and I can see the number of games he has played per season has dropped since 19/20 (37 league games, then 29, 20 and then 12 at City last season - albeit he was a squad player there). Given the challenges we have had with injuries, player fitness is surely going to be a top priority isn’t it particularly as he isn’t going to be cheap?

He missed 18 with a shoulder issue at City, 16 in his last year at Leeds with hamstring but only missed 12 games all his previous years at Leeds.

But how we wasting time exactly seems you have jumped to conclusions we are ringing every 5 minutes.

Youve just said we are interested in phillips but they are reluctant to business with us… so we are time wasting with 3 days left as we need players and dont have enough time to fuck about

The only players who get sold at this time in the window are those the team doesn’t want, or disgruntled players pushing for release. I’m not sure they should be anywhere near LFC.

Just saw this, not watched it:

Nothing serious. Just old rumors on possible bids from Saudi for Salah and Gomez.

As times go by Looks like the bid for Caicedo was indeed a non committal bid just to show that we are serious in buying players. Let alone CDM assuming ENDO is what Klopp wants for the next 2 years but what about CB? Also what about the 7 midfielders who had left us? Incredible it is as the net spend is 50 million approx.

The Brighton people confirmed the bid. To do that would require proof of funds. We were not pretending, but Caicedo was far down the line with Chelsea, and apparently his advisers never covered themselves in glory either.

We have cleared the decks of lots of wages for midfielders who didn’t feature, while bringing the age down. Hendo and Fabinho would have been somewhat useful, as seasoned pros to help, but not main men any more. And they left.

We have a new first choice midfield in Endo, MacAllister and Szoboszlai. Thiago, Jones, Elliott and Bajcetic will have their say too.

It is much better than last seasons collection of sicknotes and past it players.

As it stands I expect a top four finish as the new thing knits together.

In an ideal world one more midfielder will be added, both to future proof us from Thiago leaving, and to give more cover for possible injuries.

In addition, a central defender would be good too.

If we made those two additions I would hope for a title challenge, whereas as it stands, I’d say we need a fair wind to do that. As ever, I’m backing the mighty reds to do well.

Klopp 2.0 is emerging before our eyes. It’s not fully there yet, but you can see it.

I’m enjoying the ride!

Net spend is the most pointless stat in the world.

They can do shit to us if after they accept our bid and then Schmakte says haha just joking!

I do believe there would be some sort of agreement/obligation to buy on paper, and the team could only pull out under some extenuating circumstances (like a player refusing to join). Otherwise, teams would just bid a billion dollars for players and then pull out at the last minute just for the fun of it

Cheick at 70 million seems a bit too rich for me… but its not my money

I dont think its useless. It will determine the future spends - ofcourse if FA treats Financial Fair Play seriously.

I love the proud single lesbian stance

Infact, not to derail the thread further but the number of teachers we had at school that were unsuitable for their jobs. Miss Target was our archery teacher.
