The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Precisely why I wrote that post it is irritating to me that our second and third best goal scorers are offloaded so casually as if playing football manager but a few of our new posters from abroad must get either puzzled or worried that we don’t care about some of our players.
I hope we keep Elliott for another year as we have 68 matches next season hence why there will be plenty of minutes of playing time available for almost all our squad.

His name does read like Wankoff.

His last match he played for Portugal he looked full of running and outran Ronaldo and nearly scored I think the club will get a report from the medical team before they take a decision like that ie getting rid of our third highest goal scorer, where are we going to find another deadly goal poacher like him.

It’s intentional.

“Schwachkopf” is a German term, primarily used as a derogatory and offensive slang word. It translates to “weak-head” or “simple-minded person” and is used to describe someone considered foolish, unintelligent, or slow-witted. Other translations and synonyms include: “moron,” “idiot,” “nitwit,” “blockhead,” or “imbecile”

I apologise for being so flippant and I should have opened the item I am quite conversant in German but I had never heard that word.

Looks like Isak is happening. Wont rule it out as the rumors isnt dying down and NewCastle haven’t publicly said he isn’t for sale. Think same amount as Wirtz could clinch the deal.

Would be very very strange from a Newcastle perspective. They have absolutely no reason to sell, and it appears they’re struggling to get value in the market for players they want to buy - other teams are happy to rinse them for Saudi money. If they sold Isak to us, they’d struggle to replace his output for the kind of money we’d be willing to pay. Maybe they’d go for Osimhen? I dunno.

Still betting for Ekitike.

Isak’s transfer fee and his injury history don’t make him worth that price. Still a great player. Probably the best CF in the league right now.

I don’t see Isak happening unless he puts in a request.

Newcastle have failed in all their targets (for frontline) so selling Isak doesn’t make sense - unless he throw toys out of pram and hands in request but even then they can reject because they cant get anyone else in.

Injury is what concerns me to be honest. I would go for Ekitike as well but I read somewhere most of his injuries were Groin injuries and he has been managing it very well with the help of Medical staff.

Just twitter talk at the moment, wouldn’t take it seriously until some actual movement happens.

What appears to have kicked off this morning’s “It’s happening” freak out was a SM post of a guy saying his friend waited on him in a restaurant in Croatia (I think) and Isak responded that he didnt want to talk about it when pressed about moving to Liverpool.

The internet is marvelous

If true, this has to mean that Diaz if off, right? Or maybe we don’t buy a striker and he plays centrally.

Or it’s bollocks.

The rumours to date have suggested he wants the move, so I don’t think this would be a problem. I think the bigger issue is Newcastle agreeing to sell him (having said they wont) and the fee being something Liverpool will be willing to pay.

But it’s on the internet, so it’s got to be true.

It’s the golden rule, if it’s on the internet, then it must be true.
