We’ve been trying to buy similar players over multiple transfer windows, so definitely part of a continuous strategy not a panic measure (the lad at Bournmouth this summer and the lad at Chelsea spring to mind for example)
Especially from Rome or Napoli.
My one concern would be that for some reason Italians just don’t seem to do well at Liverpool. I don’t know if it’s homesickness or something else.
I think its down to what we’ve bought as I said.
Its more likely we have bought shit ones in the first place.
I used to work with an Italian lad that was over in the UK for a few years to dodge the military draft, he didn’t settle well over here either. From the discussions we had it was basically down to their lifestyle back home being all about big family groups living together and the women doing everything for their boys so they didn’t have the life skills or emotional maturity to live outside that - maybe we need to sign a nonna or two for the backroom team.
Like this?
Very unreliable source. Apparently we want Barcola.

Sky Switzerland on it as well
Is it our plan B perhaps?
Good player (though Doue’s uprise and Kvara’s arrival pushed him a bit behind), but don’t like the idea.
Would much prefer Rodrygo, but who knows if that one is realistic for different reasons.
Would it even be realistic to buy both + 1 defender?
Would rather go for Rodrigo or Morgan Rogers than Barcola . I am bit worried that we have lost lot of forwards - Jota so unfortunate, we have now sold Diaz and Nunez. That leaves only Salah and Gakpo from last season. Ekiteke can be considered as a replacement for Nunez. We still need to replace Jota and Diaz. Ngumoha can be a backup in the wing to Gakpo but dont think he is a replacement for Diaz. With the sale of Diaz and Nunez now Isak has become a must signing and not a luxury. After Isak we need to buy Mateta/Rogers/Wissa/Fofanna to add much needed quality cover as Elliott will also be leaving. Cherki would have been a no-brainer signing especially when we let Diaz go. We could have got him for around 45 million which is a steal in this market. Having said all this rest easy we have Hughes and Edwards incharge of tranfers
Pearce putting the kybosh on the Barcola rumours
He does it so well.
What even is this summer?!
He hasn’t really known shit about shit for years now.
He was for a time good for knowing who we weren’t buying but not even sure he has that now.
Since Brendan left
