Is that what Harvery’s going to end up looking like when he moves to Leipzig?

Still to account for Nunez’s transfer fee.

There will likely be Elliot’s fee and Tsimikas’s fee too. Which probably drives the net spend to the affordable range. If say Elliot gets 40 to 50m and Tsimikas gets 20m.

That will be good business and give us room to sign Isak and Guehi.

Not that netspend is everything but keeping Trent, diaz would have meant they would get a bigger wages.

I think if Elliott and Tsimikas are to follow after Darwin leaves, our net will be down to about 40mp.
We’ll still need a forward and a defender though and if that were to be Isak and Guehi, our net will be back above 200mp.

7 players in,all capable of being in the starting 11, and a lot of money spent but not bad for an revamp of that size.

The point is that we have enough to fully go for the jugular in this window alone.

If it means Guehi + Isak + any other position. We probably have the bandwidth to do that. We can spend 200m more in this window comfortably. More if a suitable option presents itself.

Also Chiesa and Doak possibly to go.

Ideal ending to the window: Isak, CB and versatile wide forward. If no other forward after Isak then I’d just keep Chiesa, for the numbers at least.

Keep forgetting Doak. We should be getting a sizable fee for him too.

If the choice comes between Doak and Chiesa and we keep only one of them. I’d rather we keep Doak. He’s on a long term contract.

But i really won’t mind Chiesa staying and doing justice to his killer song.

If Liverpool don’t sign a centre back, both Tsimikas and Robertson will stay, I’m sure of it.

Liverpool will look to strengthen in attacking areas with Ā£46m deal for Darwin Nunez’s exit now agreed with Al Hilal.

Paul Joyce

Areas as in more than one ?!

He’s just trying to stay relevant and posting what the majority are assuming.

Do you know your track record ? In transfers etc etc that is.

Be afraid.

We are down to Gakpo, Salah, Chiesa and Ekitike for the forward positions. Ngumoha could get the sort of minutes Chiesa got last season and we have some players that could play the wide forward positions in an emergency but if Chiesa isn’t trusted to start more and with the African Cup of Nations, we could really do with another versatile forward that can play multiple positions even if we get Isak.

It makes me sad to type it, but you should also be able to factor in some insurance coverage around Jota too. :frowning:

Indykaila saying we’ve offered loan to buy for Rodrygo, so have the arse

Tbf a loan would be smart. Whether Rodrygo or Barcola is a better fit is for others to judge. In any case, we need more depth in the squad.

Could mean one player allowing existing players flexibility to cover multiple positions, not necessaroly multiple players incoming.

Liverpool are also looking for defensive reinforcements but believe Inter Milan are ahead of them in the chase of 18-year-old centre-back Giovanni Leoni of Parma. He was managed by Cristian Chivu last season with Chivu having since moved to Inter. The Serie A side would be able to offer him more playing time.

Interest in Marc Guehi will also be determined by Crystal Palace’s asking price for a player who is out of contract next summer.

It’s not impossible that we bring more than one forward (along with a CB). Depends on multiple things.

Barcola links to us is just a smoke screen as the club knows that it will be nigh on impossible to wrestle him from PSG. My guess is that they will go for Rodrygo and when things die down we might add Isak. We need 6 forwards as we have sold 3 of them and one of them god bless his soul has departed.
