The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

But hey, Mickey aka @PeachesEnRegalia likes her

Depends what you mean by credibly linked. I think you can assume we were looking based on Kloppā€™s comments. Itā€™s just difficult to know what to make of the links that surfaced. For reasons I could not remotely support, iā€™d suggest the links to Inacio and Silva were largely fabricated based on the reality that likely every top clubs has had a look at two so well known prospects but doesnt mean we really pursued those any further than gathering information. But we likely did think about Van Der Ven and maybe Theate, and then the question of why we didnt move on either is anyoneā€™s guess. As I said, that is based on nothing but reading the vibes, but seems right to me.

100m usd fir every post I make here for advocating Moā€™s move to Saudi.

Iā€™ll do a minimum of 120k posts then. Better hope the forum is open to the spam.

Related but not the same still counts towards worries. Just look at the way KeĆÆta was injured after his first season for example.

Which were mostly unrelated to each other, and largely in 3 long spells. And most recently, 2 of those ā€œinjuriesā€ were just illnesses. He hasnā€™t been featuring for us because he hasnā€™t been first-choice when heā€™s been fit, thatā€™s it really.

We started a teenager with 4 minutes of your coveted top-flight experience for 3 of the first 4 league fixtures in a season we nearly won it all, until he was injured by an idiot.

Top-flight experience is overrated.

skysports gonna milk this salah tit dry on deadline day

If they offered that much, and put the money up front, then the owners would feel duty-bound to take it. And I wouldnā€™t blame them.

If he were to leave then I think we could accommodate his absence. We could play Nunez on the right and give Doak a lot more minutes than he was expecting.

Nothing lasts for ever, and he would probably leave next year anyway.

well said @legalalien

Doubt it. Considering that our plans seem to have been made with him as an integral part, rather than the bit-part players that were Fabinho and Henderson, I donā€™t think we would be willing to jeopardise that for less than what would truly be mind-blowing figures, something that would set us up for the next few seasons.

SSN transfer deadline has now turned into the Salah transfer Deadline day

Iā€™m astonished that to see people who have been slating FSG all summer for not being ambitious enough and being too tight with money now slating them for not selling Salah a few hours before the transfer window closes.

Astonished? Or unsurprised that some people just need the thrill of transfers and money and the hype?

If weā€™d have shown ambition and spent the 200m extra already then weā€™d be in a good position to take advantage of this Mo drama.

The worst shout Iā€™ve seen is on the SSN transfer ticker where someone suggested selling Salah to ā€œgo and get Bowenā€.

Whole-heartedly disagree. Especially for a centre back. Even more so for a centre back playing for us.

It looks like thatā€™s the plan though so weā€™ll cross our fingers and pray to the gods of injuries and fitness that Matip and Gomez are on good years.

Erm ā€¦ is that me? Iā€™m not slating the owners for not selling Salah. Iā€™m just saying that if the Saudi club offered in the region of 200 million, then I think they would and should take it.

I think Salah is the key to this season. With him we are in top 4, possibly more, without, we would struggle to finish near top. I think you turn all offers down, and work to identify his replacement and tell Saudis to come back with a bid early in the summer window next year if they want him.

No, I donā€™t think he is meaning you, more the people commenting on social media to do the deal.

I donā€™t see the club selling Mo this summer just because a very high fee has been offered for one of our players especially this late in the window, unless they have someone already lined up and ready to come in.

They would have to double their deal to reach 200m so far itā€™s 100m with add ons.

I would never expect to see that 50m in add ons one of them still owes Leicester for a small amount in 2017.

Itā€™s why demanded most of the money upfront on the other two.

Unless you had deals already done then I just wouldnā€™t entertain it because you wonā€™t get much less next summer when more than one team is apparently interested.

Iā€™d only sanction if other deals were done and I canā€™t see us doing any
