The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Any offer tonight is likely to be met with an even more emphatic no than the one they got earlier today.

Any offer after 11pm tonight is likely to be met with a “fuck off dickheads”.

Seriously though, do you honestly think our team is genuinely destabilised because of rumoured transfer fees?

I wouldn’t even dignify them with a response at this point

If players are gullible enough to believe the rubbish like fans are, then yes, but not so much the fee but the transfer.

Well maybe , I just think that if one player does move on , then the club does not become destabilised, simply because we carry on, I remember people thinking it would happen when rush left, it didn’t we carried on and still won things…anyone thinks the club is being destabilised because of one player really needs to get some air.

Are Saudis destabilising the club ? I’m sure in their heads they would like to think they are, but the truth is it’s comical, their league is nothing and will always be nothing, they can try and act as if all of a sudden they are the new real Madrid etc etc…but they are a joke, so commited to raising the profile of their game in the region that they are trying to buy their way into playing in the champions League…so much for raising the profile of the game within the middle east .

When Rush left we got Aldridge.

If Mo leaves we have a schoolboy.

And that sums up how your point resolves to mine.

Do I think the club gets destabilised if he leaves? Little bit, because we’ll have to adapt tactically. But not in the way the Saudis would expect, as you say.

You saying Nunez is incapable of playing Mo’s position?

Serious question, with no sarcasm intended.

Looks like Tyler Morton is heading to Hull City on loan

I said “adapt”. I didn’t say he couldn’t. But I think we shouldn’t kid ourselves that he will be able to seamlessly drop in in terms of where they’re supposed to be with movements and all that.

Where do you think his current level is?

Lower Championship sounds about right.

Wasn’t he a key player in Blackburn’s promotion push last season?

Yeah sorry red that was in relation to bekloppt , my phone keeps crashing…

I don’t think we are all off the mark in agreement …

Do we want mo gone ? I’m sure we all agree ideally the answer is no.

The Saudis are becoming annoying etc …but I honesty don’t think much of them or their league and anyone who does go can go imo …really am not interested in the neymars and Ronaldo etc…if anyone from our club goes they can go as to me personally once they state they want to go/are going…they are fuck all to me as a fan, if that makes sense?

He played a lot but was extremely patchy. Started really well but eventually lost his place in the team - in a squad that had a lack of midfielders.

Jurgen Klopp has declared that Liverpool would reject any offer from Saudi Arabia for Mohamed Salah and insisted the forward is “100 per cent” committed to the club.

Al-Ittihad have renewed their interest in the Egyptian but Liverpool are yet to receive a bid and Klopp insisted Salah is fundamental to his plans at Anfield.

The 31-year-old has two years left on the contract that made him the best-paid player in Liverpool’s history.

And Klopp said: “We don’t have an offer. Mo Salah is a Liverpool player and essential for everything we do. If there would be something the answer would be no. My life philosophy is I think about a problem when I have it and there is absolutely nothing at the moment.”

Klopp called on Fifa to ensure the Saudi transfer window, which remains open after the Premier League equivalent is closed, shuts at the same time as those in Europe.

He added: “What makes it not possible to deal with is our transfer window closes and theirs stays open so how can we react? We had it in the past with Russia – they had a different transfer window – but that was not completely crazy money.

“It is new, challenging for everybody and we have to learn to deal with it but the authorities should make clear that if you want to be part of the system then you do your business at the same time. I am pretty sure Fifa could do it like this if they want to.”

Liverpool could be without Ibrahima Konate, who has a muscle problem, for Sunday’s game against Newcastle but Klopp is delighted Alexis Mac Allister will be available after his red card in the 3-1 win over Bournemouth was rescinded.

“Massive [relief],” he said. “I was not sure after the game, when I saw the pictures back I was pretty sure it was not a red card but that does not mean the appeal will be successful.”

Yeah the early games he really impressed me but later on he didn’t look as good and then started not to play.

So that was pre Newcastle?

I’m pretty sure that was stated weeks ago, even by Mo’s agent that they were not entertaining offers

But we don’t let that stuff get in the way of the media circus.

Yeah I think he also commented elsewhere about it.
