The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

Who’s to say Nunez playing centrally doesn’t benefit from being made the focal point of our attack and takes over the role of main goalscorer .

Dunno , just going by the two brilliant flashes of genius he had against Newcastle…I trust klopp will make any decisions depending on what plays out in the next few hours /weeks .

But I think we have enough talent to cover any issues that may happen.

I think he needs to be that central point, and will be once Mo leaves.

Jacobs again suggesting Al-Hilal will be interested in 2024.

Really not sure why the club would consider it knowing there are already suitors lining up in 2024.

If we are talking about 50-60m difference here then wait. Salah potentially could be worth that over a season. One thing I wouldn’t miss are his pens.

"One final point - this is being done centrally. The people making these decisions isn’t just Al Ittihad. The chairman of the Saudi Pro League, the director of football at the Saudi Pro League, the minister of sport in Saudi, the Sovereign Wealth Fund.

“These people are all involved because they have a dream - and that’s to get Mo Salah, the icing on the cake, to the Saudi Pro League.”…skysports

Well yeah we made that connection due to the fact it suddenly showed up last weekend just before the Newcastle game.

Maybe they can all chip in next year and have him one game each.

What a fucking joke of a league.

If he is that important to them then 250mp.

500M at the very least.

I think you’re pushing it a little there

Mo can see out 4 more years at LFC and still get the same money in their league. The only thing they want is his name.

I can see the desire to get Mo for the Club World Cup, in Saudi, in December. They will see it as a showpiece for their country and their new football enterprise. Al Ittihad are one of the teams.

In a normal world, to a normal club, Harry Kane went to Bayern Munich with a year left on his Spurs deal, for £100M.

Mo has two years (very slightly under as the season has started) on his deal. If Kane is some sort of benchmark, that means Mo is worth £150M. To a normal club. An extra £50M for the extra year.

So what about to a Saudi club? £200M? Maybe, although now we are at a point where if he goes now, we cannot spend the dough yet, and it leaves us short, and we have our own CL hopes, or more, to fight for.

Conclusion:
Get lost! No deal. We will see you next summer, or arguably in January.

OR

If you must have a new toy for the club World Cup, and you are going to leave us short, £300M, all up front.

You mis-typed £3b.

They must be making bids of £150m with some encouragement from Salahs camp…

…unless they are doing what we done and bid for a player who wasnt interested in us!

That’s one thing that I had actually forgotten.

Had a laugh at this comment on the BBC website. Must be some barcode muppet.
