The Unreliable LFC Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 3)

He’s been keeping the head down for a while now, he must know something .

Please don’t be silly. They are well known to be financially prudent.

They can buy this instead then

Then we are short though!

Like the 2B up front better, but still leaves us up shit creek without a paddle.

Well they can wait one more year. Unless they blow us out of the water with a 250m offer, I don’t see Mo leaving this summer.

Why’s Alisson wearing 11?

Looks more like Kenny Everett

It’s probably unwise to arrive at next summer with Salah having just a year left on his contract.

We should actually extend his contract by a year or two so that we can hit the Saudis for GBP 200M in May.

Easily said, but Mo, and, more importantly, his agent will demand the equivalent of what the Saudis will offer, ie two million a month at least. Additionally, why would they sign a new contract that makes his big payday less likely?

Anyone think Saudi will continue to pursue with their window still open?

I’d be shocked if they didn’t.

Yeah that’s what I’m thinking, it also gives some fsg/klopp some excuse ( not saying it’s their fault if it happens) that they made an improved offer etc and the player indicated that he wanted to go (if it happens hypothetically as it stands)…

But then klopp can argue that this is what he meant about uefa needs to do something etc, and fsg in an ideal world of fan thinking would not be blamed because they resisted etc …but they will probably get blamed because we didn’t sell earlier and get insert late signing players name in

But if it does still happen, it gives us time to assess targets from now until January , and an idea to see where the team is at in 3-4 months time in the league…

And also gives TAN the advantage of time for the target threads to be opened before Nikola is aware :joy:

Next summer the club will have to make a decision on Salah whether to extend, sell or run down the contract. I expect this was always the plan when we last extended his contract. It’s just that the Saudi interest alters the parameters.

By the way, why is it assumed that Salah wants to move.? I can see that having a huge retirement plan has its attractions but I get the impression that he is still ambitious as a sportsman and his family seem quite happy with a western Muslim lifestyle.

Bit all over the place, but similar to what I suggested a day or so ago…that the idea of some sort of interest being indicated …because they flirted with getting Mbappe etc and he closed it down that he was not interested, and so it all died …who knows really, but it’s all a bit of a mess from the outside looking in, except that imo I think Liverpool and klopp have handled their part well…but I’m biased/blessed to support this club

True, but then again what British newspaper does ?

Edit except the Sunday sport *…which is no longer I believe…but I’m sure they would have had a story about mo signing for Elvis fc …heading to the moon in a London bus :grimacing:

Wtf has that got to do with going to Saudi?
