But yeah in all seriousness that was a strange line to start :joy:

We “lost” the transfer window. Why? Because seven players left and four came in.

LOL

Yeah probably best to avoid ESPN for “soccer” commentary.

In fact even its American spirts coverage usually get everything wrong.

The saddest thing is that someone actually got paid to write that drivel.

Do you not get paid (like I do) to post on here?

Yeah, but I don’t post drivel.

But you aspire to

Sounds like you’re press resistant

always seems to wear wrinkle free shirts?

Not seen the “transfer window winners” trophy…is it nice??

No one can tell who “won” window until end of the season

Everton did. Like every year.

They do the same with American sports. Free Agency winners/losers, draft day winners/losers… it never means anything - the people who write these articles don’t watch the sport.

Example of this is that if you find the other articles written by the guy who did Liverpool’s transfer window review (not many articles btw) he seems to have a fascination with Fabinho - going so far as to call him the best signing for the Saudi League this summer. Not a single person who watched Liverpool last season would think that Fabinho is 1. A loss to Liverpool or 2. A good signing for anyone else.

Has to be united surely ? I mean they were being linked to every player and managed to sign players we all thought were crap, but have since according to redcafe have the potential to be excellent …

Plus after all the vultures have been circling to poach their talismanic former captain Maguire, have somehow against all the odds have managed to keep hold of him .

His Mum?

Everyone has a fan somewhere, why not his Mum?Recall Konchesky’s Mum had trouble keeping quiet.

I think they confused running an Association Football club with filling out a Panini sticker album.

Is it any surprise Americans are confused when Boehly has mixed up football and Pokemon and is trying to collect them all?

Mo is the situation to watch. Frustrating that the Saudi window is still open. The money will go up and up. Al Ittihad will want him ahead of the other teams trying for him next year, and in time for the December club World Cup.

Hopefully nothing happens.

Nothing is going to happen. The club are not selling this month, and probably not until next summer. Just ignore the noise.
