‘loan proposals’
If we’re open to loan proposals it means we want that non-homegrown slot freed up and aren’t confident that a deal to sell will happen.
Its actually not a terrible option. For all the criticism of Robbo he is still the better player of the two but with another season under his belt may not be by next year. This could allow a back door option of bringing Kostas back as the back up to Kirkez and allowing Robbo an exit at that time.
The lack of genuine interest in Kostas and Harvey is odd. Less than 2 weeks to go and there hasn’t been any strong links (that I’ve seen anyway) from Prem clubs.
Still time for Harvey to get a move. Every chance of an injury happening by the close of the window which would make teams desperate for a backup.
Thought Spurs would go in for him when Maddison got injured.
I’m not massively surprised on Tsimikas.
Elliott however yes, then again all things are chess currently.
Robbo’s deal ends next summer too does it not?
Shouldn’t need to be desparate. Harvey is an excellent player and deserves first team football. I would have expected a queue for his signature and its likely down to Liverpool pricing him competitively.
Wonder if Eliott might be an option for Palace should Eze move to Spurs.
I think the move for Elliot depends on whether the move for Xavi Simons to Chelsea gets over the line. It’s going to happen eventually. Just hope the good relations between the clubs helps us in negotiating a good price for Harvey.
I dont so as much mind whether Quansah or Doak or Morton got buyback clauses. I don’t see their long term future of those three back at the club. But Elliot is one where there has to be one inserted.
I think Quansah might have a chance at a long term future back at Liverpool. Not saying it will happen, but I think there’s a chance. He has started well in Germany.
We’ll sign another Leoni every two or three years before we bring back Quansah.
Quansah will have to fix a few bad habits that have crept into his game if he wants to make it at a higher level. Leverkusen have bought him because there’s enough about him to make it work in Bundesliga and the potential upside of a team from the PL wanting him back because he counts as homegrown and therefore, a pretty hefty transfer fee.
But for me, Quansah hasn’t improved from Klopp’s last season to Arne’s first season. One of the biggest problems with him is his inability to exert more calmness and control on the pitch when in possession of the ball. Too many times has he turned over possession. If he had fixed that during Arne’s first season or made an attempt to work on that, He would have been in the club still.
He can work on that to get back to a top English team later (because he’s got some other good attributes that a defender needs to have). He will do it without the focus being on him so much (as it would be in a club like Liverpool).
Surely Indy has got this muddled up - the agent will obviously be meeting LFC and then Arsenal as the gunners always come second.
Rodrygo would be expensive for such low output.
But hes a fashionable name.
He wont be going arsenal…ezes rejected spurs so hell end up at fam fc
Just goes to show the dearth of talent out there. Real shame Kvaratskhelia went to PSG as he would have been boss for us. I’d love Barcola but I doubt he is available. I want to know where the next Mane or Salah or even Gakpo or Diaz are? Wingers with good G/A numbers are hard to find these days.
We had Diaz still under contract then sold him.
