Am i the only one who feel that clubs want us to get Isak/Guehi as late as possible because it would take more time for both of them to get upto scratch with the new team etc etc ?
Newcastle have 2 clean sheets from 3 games. We put 3 past them. Bournmouth also have 2 clean sheets from 3 games and we scored 4 against them. Thatās 7 goals against 2 seemingly strong defenses and from 6 different players.
In Newcastleās case, absolutely. They didnāt want to sell, and so make us wait. For Guehi I think itās more a case of Crystal Palace wanting to make sure they got the most of him at the start of the season (European group stage qualifying) and getting replacement in themselves.
Jota missed quite a few matches last season. Itās not quite accurate to say we had 6 attackers last season, we had 5 and a bit. Maybe even less considering Chiesa missed a lot of matches too.
What a stupid post. Back then we were a perennial under achievers. Now we are defending Premier League champions so its comparing lumps of shit and diamonds.
The Isak stuff is quite understandably messy, but its confusing why the Guehi stuff is taking so long to resolve. Palace have known this was on the cards since before last season ended so youād have thought theyād have multiple plans laid out for how to deal with it. So why have they still made no progress? You can imagine their budget is uncertain given the UEFA fuckery theyve gone through and only finally resolved on Thursday. I wonder whether they asked for some grace from us to wait until the end of the window for them to figure out if they had the money to go for the tier A option (if they made it through qualifying) or cheaper options?
Can see this window closing before we bid again⦠They told us to literally Fuck Off rememberā¦
Edwards probably dislikes dealing with those owners as much as most of us do⦠Get him in January, he has missed all pre-season
