Agreed and funny you should say that Prolix, I read that entire passage in Klopps voice. Was thinking to myself after, very much sounded similar to how he speaks on players.
There is a difference though. Klopp would never use âweâ to speak about himselfâŠ
Sounds like Saul is Milner, just not possible imo.
I doubt Saul is on our list, I just donât see us matching his wages which are reported around ÂŁ205k a week.
Klopp also likes players whoâs are flexible and can play different positions, which it seems him and his advisors arenât up for anymore
But Milner isnât paid anywhere near that. Only Salah, VvD and Alisson are on those kind of wages.
Also, players who sign on a free, like Milner did, tend to be paid higher wages than they would be if the club had had to pay to sign them.
Whereâs the evidence for that?
The Simeone quotes, roughly 10 posts above yours, posted 8hrs ago
"I have spoken with him and we cannot put aside the rumours and what is talked about.
If you stay, you work as you have always done and if you leave, the door will be open in the best way
We have been together for eight years, I think we gave him everything we had as a coach and he as a footballer
If he has to leave, a big hug, we wish him the best and continue being friends, as always. Either to Barcelona or elsewhere.
Last season he spoke with the club, with us about his needs and what he spoke about the option of having a place on the field where he feels more important
And I consider that SaĂșl became SaĂșl by playing everywhere. He or many of those around him see it as something negative.
He is very important for Atletico because he can play as a full-back, right-wing, midfielder.
He gives us a lot of situations to be able to count on him.
Even without having a season at his best, we can count on him.
He is a player who in that version and playing how the coach needs, performs very well."
I donât think versatility or him feeling misused would be an issue at Liverpool. Klopp wouldnât use him at full back, heâd play in midfield. Saul could play all three midfield roles, so thatâs versatile enough.

I wasnât axking about Simeone or Saul.
You canât seriously have been challenging the contention that Klopp likes players who are flexibleâŠ
Ok, maybe you can!
Who has come in under Klopp with a reputation of being versatile?
Edit: I wasnât challenging I was asking for proof!
Thereâs also the second part of the OPâs statement to consider!
Allison, Done.
You appear to be turning into eddie as the resident pedant, its a bad look.
We have a wage structure, adding ÂŁ205k to that (double what Gini was on who he is replacing) doesnât sound like something weâd do based on the fact we arenât willing to pay Henderson a currently playing legendary captain what he wants.
Reading the post by @rupzzz , two things stands out;
- Only one club was named, maybe thatâs indicative.
- Saul would be looking for a bit of clarity about his role on the field.
Iâve no idea what youâre asking for

Really? Have you not been paying attention for the last six years?

The quotes from Simeone that have been posted twice now, once in direct response to your earlier query.
Iâd be more interested if thereâs any evidence for a manager that specifically doesnât like flexible players.

I was going to say this too but there are some who like players who are specialists with defined roles but theyâre a small group of which Klopp certainly isnât part.
@Kopstar has now answered these 3 times, with information that I think you know anyway. Iâm starting to think youâre a WUM

Give it a rest now. This is really bad form from you.
