The Unreliable Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 1)

Source won’t allow me to give a name but it’s a man, aged between 16 and 40, has played football professionally

He said it’s a name we would all like.

I reckon we’ve unearthed a gem from the lower leagues somewhere called Sexandbeer.

Sexandbeer’s a silly name, I’d hate to be called that.

Indeed, Mr Whiskydick.

Liverpool will sign player this summer.

Shocked :flushed:

Gonna be funny watching him backtrack though if we don’t.

“Deal all agreed, but selling club backed out at the last minute. Source tells me we will go back in for the player next summer so unable to reveal further details until then. Sorry, have to respect that decision”

Not saying we will, but if we did sign Mbappe there would be plenty of fans telling us how it is financially reckless. Other top players we have will now need more money. The wage bill as a % of turnover is way too high. Klopp prides himself on having a group, all together, and now we are going down a galactico route. It will all end in tears.

Etc.

How many times have we had a s*** experience with Italian clubs has to be cash upfront.
Edwards could be persuaded with a few mango macarons on top the deal, delicious I tell ya 1.50 pop or 6 for 8…fucking expensive

I am wary of us dealing with Italian clubs too. Normally they want everything on loan. It’s a difficult dance to dance. We need some players out. We also have prices in mind we want to achieve. I expect Shaq will go for less than we think is fair, but we will all move on from it.

Maybe, Edwards wants the challenge. Maybe, he is bored. He slept through to mid July just to make things interesting.

I don’t think so. I think the deal is unlikely to happen for two reasons. Cost, and his preference for Real Madrid. However, if we did sign him, I would have no reason to think the deal would be financially reckless - FSG have shown they don’t spend recklessly, being quite conservative with finances, and have never appeared interested in signing players just for reputation or sponsorship reasons

I think that has all been pre FSG when we were in a big mess financially and desperate to sell. Over the last few years we have done well buying from Italian clubs, and we’re not forced sellers here.

Unless Lazio lowball us, I don’t think it will take long to agree what the club thinks is a fair price for Shaq. He is a very talented player who hasn’t delivered consistently at the big clubs and is now struggling to stay fit.

11 million for Shaqiri is an insult and Lazio should be told where to get off. He’s an established international, who had a very good Euros. We should be asking for no less than 20 million.

I’ve seen plenty of Bowen at Hull and he’s a different level to Wilson far better fit.

I’d be happy with anything between 10-15m for Shaq. Yes, he had a good Euro’s, but he’s also got a shit injury record, is clearly surplus to requirements at the club, and it’s hardly a seller’s market.

The reports about our interest in Bowen remind me to the time we where linked the guy from Bournemouth who signed for Newcastle.

Fraser. The fat dude

Jamaa Lewis. I think how it works is, we try for these under the hood transfers like Robertson, Jota etc that people would not have expected straight up. If they don’t work out we share our “interests” and “monitoring the situations” or “hold the player in very high regards” with the journos. Pretty much dead on arrival this.

No. Ryan Fraser. Never made sense just like Bowen.
