In the same way we once signed Downing for his high chance creation would be my guess.
Would definitely rather have Sarr over Traore and even then Iâm not convinced of Sarr. We donât even have a big No.9 to head the ball in when Traore does his usual scuttle down the wing and cross. Unless we go ahead and sign Abraham or another striker.
I actually quite like the idea of Bowen joining.
Whatâs happening with Callum Huson-Odoi? Will he be binned off by Chelsea?
Apparently the fee for Laroucci is 250K (GBP), according to @Moley_LFC.
Could do far worse than a double deal with Chelsea for their unwanted home-grown talents Abraham and Hudson-Odoi who have been pushed aside by new signings who donât perform as well.
I liked Larouci, probably the only who did, wish him well at Troyes. Fee seems low.
I donât understand how could that happen. We have signed just one foreign player and would balance that by selling Shaqiri (and most probably Origi). So it shouldnât be different than last season.
Wasnât he a free agent?
He was out of contract so not sure how we got a fee at all. We offered him a new deal but he didnât sign it, and I thought only English clubs would need to give us compensation based on his age.
This is what happens when you google stuff. Transfermadness had him on contract till 2026.
So itâs the Euro youth player âfeeâ coming in I presume (valid till 24?). Thanks for the correct info.
Far too many donât understand the homegrown player rules?
Never really worked with Heskey. Always wanted Sami to chin him in the tunnel to anger him into actually using that bulk and pace.
Lol, really? Never knew that!
Reminds me a bit of what Souness said about Mark Walters and if confidence could be bottled he would be the best player on the pitch.
I find it amazing how Heskey was so good in his first half season with us and then became so inconsistent.
Anyone else got a bit of a stiffy?
Goodbye to someone ive never heard of!
Seems like complete nonsense to me. We presently have a full complement (8/8) of homegrown players for PL purposes, but not all of them can be registered for the CL (we cannot fill all 4 spots reserved for club trained players).
If we sell Shaqiri (for example), we could move Phillips or Davies onto the list of 17 generic roster spots â assuming we care to have everyone registered. In that case the only spot available for a new arrival would be someone club trained and older than 21 (unlikely) â unless/until we moved out another player.
NB: Jones and Elliott have a few years of âfreeâ registration as U21s remaining, which is very helpful.
Each Premier League squad contains no more than 17 players who do not fulfil the âHome Grown Playerâ (HGP) criteria.
The rest of the squad, up to a total of 25 players, must be âHome Grownâ.
Each club squad list is below as well as an additional list of each clubâs registered Under-21 players who are eligible over and above the squad limit of 25 players.
Under-21 players are eligible over and above the limit of 25 players per squad. For the 2021/22 campaign Under-21 players will have been born on or after 1 January 2000.
No Champions League club may have more than 25 players on List A during the season. As a minimum, eight places are reserved exclusively for âlocally trained playersâ and no club may have more than four âassociation-trained playersâ listed in these eight places on List A.
A player may be registered on List B if he is born on or after 1 January 2000 and has been eligible to play for the club concerned for any uninterrupted period of two years since his 15th birthday by the time he is registered with UEFA, or a total of three consecutive years with a maximum of one loan period to a club from the same association for a period not longer than one year. Players aged 16 may be registered on List B if they have been registered with the participating club for the previous two years without interruption.
yeah, youd probably be happy to be honest.
he might look greatâŚ
Malen signed for Dortmund
