It’s immaterial if there might not be too much difference between theoretic deals for Harland and Bowen when you’ve cashed it all up (which, by the way, I think is probably nonsense).

Liverpool are not going to take a lad of Harland’s age and put him on 400-500k a week. You might as well take all the incredible care and diligence we’ve applied to the wage bill and squad harmony and put it on a big fire. It’s pure fantasy football. FIFA. Footy manager.

It’s what teams like Utd do, before wondering why everyone takes the piss out of them on wages and their dressing room is poisoned by factionalism and rivalries.

It does make you wonder how Haaland will navigate threading that needle between taking his next club for all they are worth while still landing at a functional sporting side.

It was rumoured in the papers that when Raiola and Haalands oldman were whoring him around all the top clubs in Europe, not only would it costs clubs £63mill to buy him, they’d have to pay them both around £17mill to £20mill each in agent fees, plus around £20mill to £25mill a year in wages over 5 years,in all Haaland is going to cost his next club not far short of £250mill.

Haaland won’t sign for Liverpool, I think thats a racing certainty. I would prefer keep what we have than sign Bowen, but he is on the list of decent shouts if one of the four leave.

Salah signing a deal would make things a bit clearer.

If we were after a West Ham player I would take Rice. He is an obvious successor to Hendo.

I can’t see us selling two of our top 4 forwards considering it’s been where we’ve been short and the fact that both Minimino and Origi may go as well as well as Ox.

I reckon we might keep on to 2 of 3.

Mane dare I say it has shown signs since last season that he isn’t the player he was, as has Firmino but I expect one will stay. Firmino not being high sale value might be the one we keep (based on if Salah signs).

Though if we were to clear Mane and Minimino/Origi and Ox we are probably going have to sign one more. Kaide Gordon probably does the job of one of those leaving if he continues to play well and we’ve signed Diaz.

Wouldn’t be surprised if we keep all three mind, there was a plan for Diaz in the summer it seems.

Not sure we need another forward w.r.t the Bowen links.

Jacob Ramsey and Carney Chukwemeka seem to be good relatively safe bets for the future though. Could easily get one of them for under 15-20M

I doubt we could, villa aren’t stupid and they certainly don’t need the funds

Some of the numbers bandied about on this thread and the owners thread are mind boggling. Where do they come from?

We’re not a Mbappe, Haaland club. And by that I don’t mean we’re a lesser club just that we don’t go in for the ready baked superstars. I’m ok with that honestly. Football is a team game. You don’t need the best in the world, you need the best for Liverpool

Anyone else getting a bit nervous that even after signing Diaz we are getting linked with forwards on a daily basis?

We get linked with basically any player who is about to renew a contract, we seem to be the defacto club whose name is added, despite us being stocked in that area… How many cbs did we get linked to in Jan when we have Gomez not even making the match day squad.

Overrated anyways. I’d take Raphina over him.

Yep, been watching a few vids of Endrick (edit) lately. A lot can happen over the next couple of years, but he looks like he could be very special indeed.

If we keep our Brazilian and South American contingent together it will help us to hopefully have a shot at this one, when the time comes. Imagine being a young player coming to Europe and then having an older brother, almost father figure, in someone like Alisson, looking out for you. If his parents are involved, and/or if his agent looks at the long haul, stuff like that might make a crucial difference.

This caused me real confusion for several moments being in the Fabio Carvalho thread!
