So Keita is unhappy with his situation? He’s got a fucking nerve, when he’s given us practically nothing over three years and is never fully fit.
NEW: It is understood that Liverpool have received no indication of Keita being discontent with his situation, and maintain a good relationship with the player and his representatives. #lfc [liverpool echo].
What difference would it make other than freeing up a spot on the wage bill? He’s hardly ever fit and gets injured the minute he’s come into some form. This start of the season was the last straw for me. He can go
I feel like Elliott is already playing at a level at least as high as the best we’ve seen from Naby since he arrived, possibly higher. The main issue is leaving us thin in midfield, but if we could bring someone in we like I’d have no issue selling Naby.
Milner is now only good as a late sub. All the other two are doing is occupying spots that we can fill with midfielders that can actually stay fit
As much as some would like it, no chance Naby is sold in this window. Our attention should be placed on the hope of him getting fit and making a solid contribution.
cant beat a decent Pinot
If true then this should have been dealt with before the season started so we could have brought in the right replacement.
If its true that kieta is unhappy with his situation,
And will leave next summer on a free
I am sure he do his best this season giving 100%,
And always be available…
Is that a haiku?
If the rumours about Keita being unhappy is true, I hope we are offering him as part of a deal to get Bellingham now… Seems perfect for all parties!
If he wants out he will likely sit tight and see what offers come in. He can sign in January and leave on a Bosman next summer, to maximize his income.
After it dragged on so long with Mo, that’s what I expected him to do, so was pleasantly surprised that he extended. So you never say never, but Keita is not nearly so valuable to us as Mo.
We might get an uptick in availability and form, which would be good, even if he does wind his deal down. Or we may do a last minute deal and bring someone in, especially if Keita has a destination lined up. The ideal would be part ex for Bellingham, as mentioned above.
I can’t help but think this is going to be a Bosman to Bayern Munich.
Whoever signs him must want to keep their physio busy.
Get rid ASAP
Could totally see that. Hopefully he will have to at least perform this season first to ‘earn’ a good contract.
Hard to believe that’s his contract finished. Feels like we’re still waiting for him to get started
keita is a good player but the injury record is awful That is not his fault. IF he does leave on a free then that is the clubs decision as they are closer to the situation and would be aware of his general mood day in day out. They could have sold him i have no doubt.
All i seem to see on here with regards to our own players is moaning and groaning.
sighs
Naby has that frustrating quality of seemingly being most likely to be fit and available when everyone else is and then coming up with something at the same time as Hendo or Thiago do. It seems like his longest streak of fitness was in a period last year when he was not being selected very often.
