Meh, least itā€™s not caught offside or Goal so we have a (small) chance

Even the original asking price is something we should be seriously considering.

Kone over Nunes for me, all day long. He can do the 6 or 8, and is young enough to be shaped to whatever Klopp requires.

Bellingham, Kone and Bajcetic and we wonā€™t look back.

Itā€™s been the thing bugging me all season. Iā€™ve been willing to concede that I dont watch that much of wolves, and maybe different set ups bring out different things in different players, but Iā€™ve never reallt seen much from him the times Ive watched him to sugggest heā€™d make much of an impact, much less would have been the solution to our problems this year.

One moment I particularly liked last night was early on when Stef completely wiped him out, as if to say ā€œyou think youā€™re coming here and taking my shirt?ā€

Add in a Caicedo, we are set for at least 10 years.

Bellingham, Kone, Bajectic. Caicedo, Elliott. Thatā€™s the next 10 years settled.

Within two years weā€™ll want half of them out.

After having won the Prem and CL double in the first year.

5000% this. imagine if we had a midfielder who could shoot like he did.

We have, me. I just have less accuracy than a muck spreader and they donā€™t pick me. Bastards.

I wonā€™t talk about Kone having not watched him but regarding Nunes, Iā€™ve seen him in a few games and while Iā€™m impressed with his technical ability and general movement, I fail to see what he offers that would make him the saviour of our midfield and our team in general. Maybe he would shine in a better, more attack-oriented side than Wolves but I canā€™t tell that from what Iā€™ve seen.

Granted Iā€™m no scout but players like Nunes are ten a penny.

There was one time in last nightā€™s game when Nunes dribbled and went past 2-3 of our players, riding a tackle or two, and getting away with the ball. He showed real pace and strength.

Now, donā€™t get me wrong. Nunes is down the list of midfielders I want here. But Iā€™m trying to make an effort to see what he has, since we were linked a while ago.

Still, it is Bellingham, Kone and Bajcetic all day long for me. With the best of what we already have here that remains to play alongside.

I saw the shout above to add Caicedo to the mix. He is a good player, but at the price Brighton are asking for, Kone makes a lot more sense for perhaps half the outlay.

Yes, if it is money no object, buy them all!

But realistically (and this might even be too much of a stretch) I will be happy to add ā€˜justā€™ Bellingham and Kone to the midfield this summer.

If Kone is available for 30m, then it makes it a bit of a no brainer

Yes, I remember that. I thought it was more by luck than judgement though.

It might have been. It looked like he benefitted from a bobble and a ricochet here and there. But I was squinting and straining to see his plus points!

Donā€™t you think heā€™s a bit too slow for PL tempo?

No, I think heā€™s more than dynamic enough for the PL.

same could be said for Thiago, yet sometimes itā€™s more about brain than speed.

And therein lies the problem with our current midfield. We actually need a certain volume of high tempo movement that is lacking. You need positioning and anticipation, sure. But you also need speed, agility, and speed repeatability.
