I guess the thing to bear in mind is we may well have agreed personal terms, but that doesn’t mean he hasn’t done the same with any other clubs or will go on to do the same.
If Newcastle can offer a bigger fee and the player doesn’t push for us then he might well end up there.
Only playing devil’s advocate mind. I don’t think he’d pick them over us as things stand, champions league or no.
