Trindade looks nifty with the ball at his feet but weāve already got a better player in Szoboszlai who can do all that and score goals on top of that.
What we need to address now is the #6 position so we need somebody with defensive nous. Iād say right now the best available choices are Florentino Luis and Romeo Lavia. Right now Iād give the edge to Luis because heās had 4 more years of development than Lavia so heās ready to contribute straight away. Lavia might have a higher upside at the end of the day but 50m for a 19 year old is a tall ask.

The gameās changing w.r.t the midfielders. The rise of Bellingham and to a slightly lesser extent Tchouameni shows that the modern #6 has to be good at most aspects of the game including the ability to move the ball forward as well (whether it is progressive passing (which Fabinho isnāt bad at AND with carrying the ball forward (which Fabinho isnāt good at).
Not a surprise that the best modern talents in midfield now have the ability to do both to a relatively high level

Yeah sure, this guy definitely has direct knowledge of whatās going on at a Premier League club and what they intend to do.

Worth noting Fluminense under Diniz play an extremely fluid, chaotic style. Very little structure to speak of. They also have an habit of eschewing space and playing through the most congested areas of the pitch. Almost every player on that team is technically sound and certainly press resistant.

I didnt make the connection with Diniz. I wonder if this increases Andreās chance of more opportunities with Brazil and potentially a higher valuation right around the corner.

Philipps looked quite good before he went to City. Since then he has had injury issues, put some weight on, and spent a lot of time on the bench.
Swerve. Purely from a footballing perspective, not to mention we donāt want to give those cheats any of our money.
Lavia, all day long for me. With Bajcetic and Trent stepping into midfield from the inverted fullback role, we are sorted. And if we donāt like the youthful aspect, hopefully we retain one of our veteran midfielders to help bring them through, but if not, both Mac and Jones can do the job we need, as Lavia gets up to speed, as it is not going to be an old school number 6 role.
The Phillips from Leeds is 100 times the player Lavia is.
