Slot himself said that it wasn’t a serious injury, that it would clear up in a few weeks. However, if anyone doubted Frimpong’s fitness, between that of Gomez (they had only eleven years to get to know it properly) and Bradley’s season-ending injury that occurred almost a month ago, I think they had more than enough time to decide whether they wanted to sign an emergency cover for that position.
I agree with you that we’ve been stupid leaving ourselves light in defence, but I suspect that Frimpon’s latest injury has raised some doubts over his continued fitness even if this one is just a few weeks, and may have caused a rethink over the last couple of days.
Gertrude’s out so we’re going for Dumfries so it seems. Also, some concerning talk about Dom.

Completely agree. And even though it doesn’t help us now, we might have boxed clever with the strategy to scoop up three promising central defenders in their teenage years a couple of weeks ago.
Perhaps one of them will make it to the first team set up and be viewed as a 50M player, then maybe one might not quite make the grade but we will get a few bob for him, and then the other will carve out a career lower down?
Presumably that was the calculus with cornering the teenage centre back market
You are obviously new here William. The standard procedure is that everything has to be posted at least three times and preferably in different threads. Then someone has to argue against every post, proclaiming that whatever has been written is claptrap and, in fact, the opposite is true. This should continue for at least thirty posts. In the meantime, some smartass like me will moan that the original post is in the wrong thread. This will lead to an outcry and calls for banning. The entire ruckus will then be blamed on whichever player is deemed to be this month’s villain.

1, Make a mistake during a match - Anything, it doesn’t have to be your fault. Just a simple slip will do.
2, Look like you’re not trying hard enough - A casual manner, jogging onto the pitch instead of sprinting etc.
3, Not respecting the fans - Only signing fifty autographs, not waving etc.
4, Fashion - Carrying a bag, having a fancy haircut etc.
5, Saying something complimentary about a rival team or player.
