I couldn’t care less what Uli thinks. If Olise wants out, history shows that clubs will acquiesce for the right fee. Putting aside the question as to whether Olise wants to stay at Bayern, come here, or somewhere else - the issue is whether the fee is prohibitive.

Liverpool have a lot of work to do this summer in terms of strengthening. They’ll need a couple wingers, at least one other midfielder, and another CB. They’ll probably also need a LB to deputize Kerkez.

You’ve also heard that they’re shelving their plans for a multi-club model, and FSG is selling their NHL team, and they obviously shopped LFC within the last few years.

Despite their outlay last year - mitigated in part by sales - I don’t see them spending another 300-400M this summer, which likely rules out Olise when considering the other work they need to do. Someone like Rayan at Bournemouth seems more likely.

But hey, I’ll keep dreaming about a Diomande/Olise/Anderson/Wharton/CB window.
