There is nothing wrong with him why play him in wrong position if you are not trying to get rid of him, he is a left winger and there is no chance of him displacing Kvaratchkelia. I think he is perfect for us until Ngumoha comes of age. With him on the left and Akliouche on the right wing we will be Ok.
I donāt like the notion of a player becoming lackadasical with so much to still play for. I donāt know if thatās what Barcola was doing, but that article discusses why there may be that implication. It was a chance to win a title - to get subbed off at halftime is not a good look.
Last thing we need more of in this team is half-arsed primadonnas.
I like Barcola. Thatās probably the most talented available wide attacker this summer.
But would he come to LFCā¦knowing the state weāre in at the momentā¦
Him Cherki and Akliouche never mind MbappƩ might help France win the WC.
Is Akliouche that good?
Looks quite clever and technical but too slow to be a top wide player from what I have seen.
Iāve got a similar impression, albeit on a small amount of data as Iāve only seen him a bit.
He is a good player but my opinion is we need some serious pace on the flanks to open it all up.
Barcola, I think his name might suggest a drinking problem
I thought that about Olise at Palaceā¦
We have examples of pacy players, but who are not quite good enough to be starters for teams that want to win the biggest prizes.
We might already have one.
Heās supposed to be a big up-and-comer from Ligue Un. Saw him properly for the first time against PSG in Monacoās CL runins with them. Monaco nearly did PSG in and Akliouche was a primary reason for that. He had some near misses in front of goal that would have sunk PSG and looked highly impressive and brave.
But thatās too small an instance for me to say if that is his average level or if he was raising it for the occasion.
I know what youāre saying. But at the risk of sounding clichĆ©, pace is most definitely not everything. For example, Sadio, while he was very pacy especially earlier on in his career, gave us that out ball every time in his prime because of his immense strength and possession skills which allowed the rest of the team to get up the pitch during difficult passages of play. Thatās the kind of player weāve been missing for some time. Iām not saying that Akliouche is that player, just giving you an example of whatās important for the team.
Barcola? Meh. Never thought he was all that. Doue, however, heās exceeded my expectations and is much better than my initial impressions.
Well he is as quick as Ekitike the only thing he needs as do Ekitike is to beef up those spindly legs otherwise the likes of Tarko will break them like matchsticks in the PL.
The only 29 year old Liverpool should sign quick is Senesi from Bournemouth and he is free no brainer in my opinion.
I give you Bernado Silva, not pacy but skilful, intelligent and brave.
Arsehole, but a great footy player
Totally agree! Doue could be a ManƩ type player for us. He has exceeded all expectations for me.
Oh if it were only possible.
Iād have spent the Isak money on Doue instead.
We should have gone all in on him when he was at Rennes.
Slipped through the data net that one.
Intensely dislike him for his shithousery.
But admire him as a player.
Would have loved to have had him in our team.
He does whatever the team requires him to do to succeed.
A rare quality in such a gifted player.
The name of the game is to win. Some players do it with their desire to win. Others do it with their hatred of losing. You need a mix of both in your team. You need a few sore losers who will simply not take losing as an option and will throw a strop, hopefully privately. Silva is the second type. Iām not sure we have a single one of that type in our team right now.
I would be very surprised if PSG let him go he is priceless him,Vitinha and Dembele are key to that team.
