The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 4)

No chance. It’s like asking Klopp’s prime Liverpool to sell Mané or Salah or Virgil.

Can we keep this section to unreliable links, some of the names being mentioned haven’t even had a link.

There is a “who would you buy” section

I don’t think he is good enough personally. I have an active hatred for “active” defenders who feel the need to tackle and head everything that comes near them. He’s very much in that mould.

That reminds me of Lovren!

I think he’d be a good squad option.

When I mentioned Senesi a while ago it was for depth, as a free signing, Prem proven, who could offer cover while younger, more talented players, make their way to the first team. Leoni and Jacquet are better, but I do not expect them to come straight in and be fixtures.

We will have to see what happens with the whole group to assess what sort of signing we might need at centre back. It might range from no signing needed, to a Senesi level squad man, to a better option who will cost real money.

At present I’m just not sure of the needs we will have at centre back, and I know we will spend good money in other positions, hence a Senesi sort of player might be a canny move.

But if he was strong and not pacey would it have worked?

Very good player but they also moved him in field for that reason.

Same happened to Mata and David Silva.

No, Sadio was a unicorn player on the right side. Nobody that I know of has those attributes at that high a level currently. Certainly not anyone we can get.

Just watched a highlights video, yes I know, but he looked very good on the dribble, but the best thing is that he dribbles with his head up and seems to pick out the right pass and0 has a very good range of passng.

So gets a thumbs up from me

I agree that that is what separates the top wide players from the rest. Good point

That said I still dont think hes quick enough.

Perhaps but lots of great left wingers were not physical beasts but I´d say almost all of them were quick. Even Ribery was a lot quicker than he looked. very quick off the mark

Their thinking is completely scrambled.

Sadly if they stick with Slot I couldn’t care less.

Yeah we are not buying anyone this summer in as rarefied a standing as Wirtz or Isak. The best thing we can hope for is we’re able to be saying early next season that one or both are playing well enough to be like having made new signings
