If we scouted him before the world cup (as is reported) and are just using it as confirmationā¦ it is an entirely different story.
Doesnāt sound expensive and we could use a CB.
Not saying it is impossible but even among Danish league defenders heās only average in aerial duels won, below average in progressive passes and canāt carry the ball.

I think probably the only time weāve ever really done that was Berger after Euro 96.
Diouff is the one commonly held us as an example of the pitfalls from doing it, but we announced the signing the day after their opening game win against France. Weād been desperate to wrap it up before the tournament started concerned that if we didnt a good performance from him at the tournament would see an increase in competition for him.

If we scouted him before the World Cup and liked what we saw then we probably should have signed him before the price goes up after the tournament.
