I think we have maybe missed a bit of the energy and spark he brought, although his lack of height can bring its own problems.
Its a complete mess, made even worse by us playing him before we loaned him out making the number of solutions for the second half of the season close to 0. Youâd think there may even be legal exposure for Villa ostracizing him like this so specifically to not trigger the 10 (league) game clause that would make the move permanent.
I think Harvey might have a shot in a 4-2-3-1 setup as a RW.
Doesnât paint hughes in a great light
According to a few pieces I have seen on him he is very two footed and can go either way.
My Villa supporting mate reckons itâs Emery making a point. He didnât really want Elliott, they missed out on two players he did want and Harvey was then presented as an alternative. Reckons he had no intention of making it permanent and this is just gamesmanship with the Villa board in an attempt to stop them missing out on who he wants.
Itâs rough on Harvey that heâs being used like this. Hard to blame us for playing him if we didnât know whether weâd get an offer for him. But the whole 10 game clause did seem weird at the time. Feels like we might have got played here and canât think weâll be pleased about it.
Question is, if he does come back would Slot even play him? And if not, how much less if a fee will we get than what weâd agreed with Villa when we try to move him on again in the summer.
Maybe Slot was correct about him.
If he was good enough, for a top class team he wouldnât have been loaned.
Maybe Emery thinks the same. He has quality players in the area and Harvey falls below that standard.
Like most on here, I like Harvey. He seems a really good lad, and his energy is infectious. But he might be a cameo player at best.
Agreed, or he might find a regular spot at a club at a slightly lower level like Harry Wilson did for example.
I look at Wilson and sometimes think we could do with him as an option from the bench. Lad certainly knows how to score goals in the premier league.
Why do we have to blame someone for every situation itâs just one of those things, if someone had come in he wouldnât have played as much like Diaz played most of our pre season until he was sold.
Well my point was it looks like a shitty deal for us (and Harvey). We could and should have refused a loan and Hughes has responsibility for this.
He could have stayed and sat on the bench I suppose.
Not one for now, but still good to see the club continue to bring it potetnial future talents
Depends how desperate we get ![]()
He should have gone to Germany where his value would have doubled with a lot of game time.Quansah so far has thrived in that league.
I saw one of those shorts on Youtube last night linking us to Rayan at Vasco De Gama.
Hes 6 centimeters shorter than Wirtz.
So is Lionel Messi.
Not a problem when you can nutmeg this smoothly

That looks like James Milner when he was in a Cheaters shirt
