We are about to be linked to everyone and his dog.
What kind of dog, whippet, Rottweiler is it injury prone, can it play on either wing.
All valid questions
Oh forgot one whatâs itâs jump like?
Jacobs saying we decided against Semenyo after talks in November.
Seems strange. Wonder what the stumbling blocks were, I presume weâd offer a competitive wage?
More likely that heâd prefer not to play for a club whose fans racially abused him.
He wanted out because we did not pay him the right amount of wage (meanwhile Gakpo is on 250k-per-week).
One fan, who was quickly dealt with.
I donât think that makes a difference to Semenyo. That idiot was more than enough on his own.
The Liverpool Transfer Committee is back.
Thatâs not surprising if not everyone agreed (doesnât even matter who was for and against), IF true.
These decisions are far more complex than fans shouting from their sofas âbring him in, that one also and the other one, tooâ.
Especially in our current situation.
Can it head?
That might have happened when he was racially abused by a fan at Anfield ![]()
This thought crossed my mind.
Fan, singular. Now permanently banned from the stadium.
Shame on you.
He publicly gave a very gracious thank you to the club for the way they handled the situation.
Yep, he had two years to go on his deal and was agitating for a new contract. At first it all seemed cordial and professional enough, but the longer it progressed you could see it was starting to get a little edge to it, and so our choices were to:
-
Keep him at the club, disgruntled, on his current terms (which were higher than a lot of the inaccurate reports were suggesting)
-
Give him a new contract, taking him into his 30s on a high wage (nothing wrong with that per se, but since we pushed the boat out for others, perhaps we didnât want to put too much money into player wages on the wrong side of 30?)
-
Sell, for a fair price
We chose option 3.
Heâs a good player, no doubt about it. I prefer him over Gakpo in a straight choice. I think our struggles this season have made some look back at what we had before. There have been lots of shouts for Klopp, quite a lot for Diaz, and some were even saying Nunez would have done well for us this season pressing from the front and providing a threat in behind.
We are struggling at the moment, but a new team will emerge from all this, hopefully the sooner the better, and Iâm looking forward to seeing how we get there.
If you had bothered to scroll a couple of posts down, youâd have seen that my point was that it likely didnât make much difference to Semenyo whether it was one fan or ten. One dickhead was more than enough.
Or maybe you did scroll down and wanted to have a dig anyway.
Can these players, that continue to opt for City, while the 100+ charges hang over them, be forced to stay with City if they are dropped a division or two? Of course neither that, nor City being dropped a division or two will happen, but itâs Christmas time, and a man can wish.
