The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

They only quote what suits them.

Disagree. Curtis is a very good squad option for us but he probably hasn’t improved in three years and since he broke into the first team he never had like 3 months where was a nailed on starter. Is that always on injuries and managers?

I am not so much into that scouting thing anymore but Ligue 1 usually has loads of elite talent starting games and other clubs chasing them.

We’ve spent Ā£60m on Jacquet. How many CL are after Akliouche, Bouaddi, Sangare, Camara,…?

If Curtis would be that good some clubs would throw serious money at us.

He should have had 3 months this season as a certain starter considering Gravs late season form and Maccas ā€˜total’ season form.

Anything interesting happening?

When are we announcing the triple signing of Barcola, Bouaddi and Vozinha?

He has one year left on his deal…that factors into the price teams are willing to pay.

I’ve just seen a flying pig.

He’s an ā€˜elite’ player with one year left on his contract? Why aren’t more teams showing interest? There should be a serious bidding war for a player like him. Or maybe he’s just not that good.

Anyway - the longer I think about it the more I believe his agent is using Inter now only to generate more interest. Think he’s leaving on a free next summer.

Was it making it’s way to Liverpool? Was it carrying any new signings?

There was three, carrying one each. You can track them on the App, ā€˜Flying Pig Finder’.

Will a rumour of a 17 year old Georgian currently on loan at FC Iberia 1999 satisfy your cravings…

I think he wants to play for and live in Milan. He’s so into the fashion scene and he’ll be more of a main man there. It’s just a good fit for him. I think his strong preference to move there is providing ammunition for the low bid. For all we know he is telling the club it’s Milan now or he’ll just wait to leave on a free. If I were a betting man that’s where I’d put my money.

I honestly don’t think it’s coming from Curtis; I think it’s more his wife he’s trying to keep happy. She’s constantly posting that ā€œinfluencerā€ stuff—Gucci, Chanel, and whatnot—and it all looks totally staged and over the top. I couldn’t stand looking at it anymore and turned off her posts because it was just getting to be too much for me.

Interesting. Either way I think it’s the destination (Milan) and the fact that he would be a more important player that are the driving factors. Milan is using this as perceived leverage to lowball Liverpool.

Always blame the women. She’s probably making him drive that Rolls Royce also

Exactly! How Arne’s wife escapes criticism for our play last season I do not know…. :joy:

He should have been a nailed on starter this season, in his best role, it’s not his fault the manager persisted with a clearly exhausted Mac Allister - and that he was on some sort of campaign to purge the club of anyone who was developed here.

ESPN reporting that Spurs are after Gakpo, RdZ very keen on him apparently.

Evangelical Christian of the extreme US type, active in ā€˜Ballers in God’, an international network of evangelical footballers. The much reported prayer after the Curacao match involved one of their players who’s an active member as well, the goal celebration Nmecha is doing is part of their campaign too. Because this is where the personal/private belief argument ends - they are very openly missionary and using football as a tool to spread their ideas/beliefs. Once you do that don’t complain if people have things to say about that.
