Unfortunately we didn’t get him when he was covering a lot of positions and had a year left on his deal.
But he was always going to stay I think.

Although not in the same position, he reminds me of Mane ie combative and very difficult to shake off.
Hopefully the selling club say they are waiting to sign someone before they let him go and then just sell to us.

Basically yes he wants a midfielder and/or even a defender.
Makes sense. He´s not stupid.
Looks like this could have a direct impact on what’s next for Camara.
Gathering pace now this…
Well this is fun, I like signings.
Camara would be an interesting one. Would satisfy the forum´s desire for a more combative ball winner and improve our forward passing in midfield somewhat, as i drone on about.
Barcola and Camara would make it into an acceptable window, arguably. Assuming no other moves except Chiesa, Elliott or Endo.
“I think he’s trying”

Quite surprised he openly said that.
A little impressed tbh. Very honest.
Watching his performance live against Wrexham was a radicalizing experience for me. It was genuinely impossible to see a path back for him with a performance that poor. It was incredibly sad to see given how exciting his emergence was.
I don’t know how you experienced it live, but when I watched him this pre-season I thought he looked like he struggled both physically and with timing. Like many situations came as a surprise to him and happened a bit too fast for him.
Somewhere in there is a very exciting player. God knows what his position is though. Not big enough for the midfield, not quick enough for the wings. Now he’s coming off a wasted year where others have been playing while he was stuck in limbo. Bad choice on the loan (from him, us, and villa). Now, wherever he goes, i think it’ll be at least a year before he hits any form. Will other clubs have the patience needed with him?
Sadly think he’ll be a “what if”
I sympathise with him for the year he hasn’t had any football, but there is also a responsibility, as a professional player, not to turn up out of shape. A stand off between Villa and Liverpool doesn’t mean he can’t keep himself fit.
Even if is objective was to get a good move rather than salvage his Liverpool career, he should still be turning up to pre-season ready to go.
It’s almost like he has given up.
Delaney says three players (incl. Barcola) wanted
But interestingly he says two of those are wide players meaning one for somewhere else.
