I have no idea if Pardo is good. I do know the Luke Edwards meltdown will be worth every penny if we get another Newcastle target.

Fernandez Pardo looks really promising and can play up front, but heĀ“s primarily a left wing player.
Why would we be looking at another one?
Unless itĀ“s just for backup and the plan is MuƱoz on the right, but even so. 75 mil would be a silly fee too.

FB is a really hard one. If Gomez stayed fit for more than a game then he would be ideal to see if Bradley can come back stronger.

Patrik Berger of Sky Germany has reported that Liverpool are monitoring Stuttgart winger Jamie Leweling. The report states that Roma recently had an offer rejected.

@Germanred surely knows more about him; Jamie is a Stuttgart player. I know heās a talented right wingerātwo-footed, too. But would he be a good fit for us? No idea, though I do think heās on our list. The profile seems to fit.

Just a hunch, but Iām starting to wonder if weāre actually looking at bringing in two more for the wide positions, like a winger/CF hybrid like Pardo and a RW like Minteh/Sarr/Leweling.
I guess we donāt have long to wait and see.

Sarr is also someone who can do a job up top. Minteh I donāt think so. I think heās ājustā a winger, at least he was so far. I donāt know enough about Fernandez-Pardo and Leweling.
I highly doubted that the ābackup for Isak while Ekitike is outā question would block us from selling Gakpo and itās proving to be the case, as things stand. That is certainly not enough of an argument not to do it. Buying another player is something else, thatās what weāre probably dealing with now with Barcola in the building and until deadline.
That backup, when needed, will likely be shared by one of the wingers who can do it (I think even Barcola could) or thereās always the option to go false #9.

Is he though? He rarely, if ever leads the line for Palace and when he plays more centrally itās almost always with Mateta or another forward ahead of him.
For us thatās the spaces you want Wirtz operating in. If weāre trying to build the attack around a more traditional centre forwards like Isak and Ekitike then does Sarr really offer the same kind of striker instincts as those two or would that necessitate a change in the way we play or he plays.
I get that itās about having someone who can fill in for a bit but I really donāt think heās someone who naturally leads the line.

He can, he did it for Rennes and Watford at times and a bit for Marseille and Senegal recently at the WC.
If Sarr is up top, he does not occupy or play the way Wirtz plays as a #10. They should compliment each other.
Anyway, if itās not Sarr but Minteh as the second signing, Iād expect us to have other options like Barcola, Munoz or someone a false #9 as backup/competition to Isak while Ekitike is out.
