The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

I think I spent all my excitement yesterday. Today I don’t really expect anything, but I’m always ready for a good surprise.

I’m not ruling out Minteh yet. Until we see anyone say it’s not happening, I think he’s a possibility.

Camara seems less likely, Chelsea are trying to get it done, according to The Athletic.

Chelsea are also close to a deal for Kone from Roma.

Yeah, I have a tiny feeling we’re not done yet, despite what the reports are saying.

Be quicker going through the players they aren’t close to getting a deal done for.

EXACTLY my outlook on us!

Yes, he was briefly mentioned in the same piece. Wouldn’t be a massive surprise if they end the day having bought the pair of them and sold Enzo:

I’m baffled with the interest in Enzo.

He fills a gap in their squad and provides a scoring option from midfield. He’s not a replacement for Rodri. That is a combination of Bouaddi and Anderson.

They definitely need another midfielder, and I’m guessing Maresca likes him a lot.

I actually like what City are assembling in central midfield.

Doesn’t mean it’ll work immediately, but these are all quality players in their own way. And different age groups.

Physically and technically very strong.

Yes they benefit from massaging their financial books and stretching out contracts to unheard of lengths. So Chelsea has stockpiled a lot of talent. You can’t do that anymore specifically since the PL changed the rules to stop it.

I’m baffled by Chelsea’s need to replace him. Can’t they go below 6 players in each position? Ridiculous they can get away with it. Dodgy fuckers.

Just don’t rate the lad at all to be honest.

I strongly feel we are going to sign one more. If not then my strong feelings are wrong.

They have Lavia, Caicedo, and Hendo as senior natural CM options, none of whom you would back to go through the season without fitness issues. Xabi seems content to use one of his RBs there as well, with both James and Gusto doing it in the first two games, but who knows if he’d continue that with another quality legit option.

What I think is worth a fair number of people taking a step back and considering is how you’re responding to this news. Both City and Chelsea are still working on a huge deal that is important to both of them, with some additional dominoes needed to fall to make it work for Chelsea, on the last day of the window regarding a player its been known since before the last season ended was unsettled and likely to leave. We have fans who are viewing this late movement as a show of strength and ambition yet view us doing big moves late in the window as a show of not knowing what we’re doing.

Barco as well now, if you´d count him as senior, but yep.

Yeah that’s fair.

Its your turn Richard, f*** around a bit before you f*** off…

Palace make late move for Sunderland target Fofana

Sky Sports News reported Sunderland had agreed a £30m deal to sign the Lyon winger, who was given permission to travel for a medical.

Do you get the feeling that Chelsea might be carrying on with their revenge mission for our highjack of Ngumoha?
