Unless we’ve decided RB is a void then the move doesnt make much sense given the cost you’d imagine a flush spurs would hold out for. But he is very good and didnt deserve the scorn over his selection that he got It was a difficult for years for him at Spurs, but he was excellent last season in a struggling side.

If there is a full back that we should be getting from Spurs, that’s Porro. Spence had a very good tournament, but he is too limited with the ball.

It would be a really sensible signing. It doesn’t set the heart racing, but I’ve wanted us to sign someone equally comfortably at LB and RB for years. He can also play further forwards.

Spence is your classic “flash and splash” tournament type. Bang average all season, would be on no one’s radar a month ago but flashed moments in a couple of World Cup games and someone now thinks he’s worth silly money.
If Spurs got an offer over £25m they should absolutely take it and run.

I thought he had a decent season as well tbf. Not standout but a guy who could cover us on both sides and is homegrown? Yeah, that works for me.

Depends on the price with Spence. We need depth, but if we feel confident that Spence can come back and provide cover at both fullback spots, it’s worth a shot at a reasonable price. He’s more a competent backup than a game changer, though.
Kerkez will have that LB spot locked down, IMO. He’s going to become a fan favorite (if he isn’t already). Love that kid and his energy. Slot woefully misused him last year, and being paired on the wing with Gakpo didn’t help much, either. But we need a backup there as Tsimi isn’t long for Anfield.
Bradley’s fitness issues make that RB spot open for the time being, so I’d be open to having a Spence/Frim rotation there.
But what do you mean by do anything?
Do you think he could he do what Rodri does? or Pedri? Or Vitinha?
He´s a good player but I think he´s a bit a jack of all trades kinda guy. I know fans of the Premier League and especially the English love that style.
Spence seems like a dickhead. Doesn’t the club have a policy against that?

No, I don’t think many other than those three players can control a game with the ball the way they do. Maybe throw Frenkie de Jong in there and you’ve got the elite group of controlling midfielders. But I also think Szoboszlai will be a really good fit for Iraola’s playing style.
I don’t have a particular preference for how the midfield should be set up and which player types we should have. I’m just looking at the manager’s style, what he seems to want tactically from his midfielders, and I’m guessing jack of all trades players could work really well.
Ah I think a lot of players do just to varying levels.

I think you might be right there that he wants the jack of all trades (I’d argue master of none) type players. He did have that at Bournemouth for sure.
