The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

That is true, I just thought you meant doing it at their level. Definitely a player type thing, yes.

So absolutely nothing happened overnight. Not even a single reliable unreliable rumour. As for the Indy rumour, they couldn’t even be classed as unreliable they should just be banned.

Liverpool are leading the race to sign Japan midfielder Kaishu Sano from Mainz and are prepared to offer up to 60m euros (ÂŁ50.9m) for the 25-year-old, who has also attracted interest from Arsenal, Tottenham and Borussia Dortmund. New and unreliable apparently it’s German sources…

And this one they are copying IndyKalia

Liverpool have asked Bournemouth about 19-year-old winger Rayan as they aim to reunite the Brazilian with former head coach Andoni Iraola. (Teamtalk)

If this is true then clearly Iraola has plans for him. I mean, no clubs will pay more than that for Elliott after what happened last season.

Hefty price tag :eyes:

Rayan looks promising but 130 mil would be an insane fee for a 19 year old with his experience and what he has delivered so far.

Seems to be the market this summer, everyone asking over ÂŁ100m for any young winger that had a good season and the Anderson to City deal driving up asking prices for midfielders.

Let’s hope the club can find some value outside the top leagues or players with more reasonable release clauses.

I heard that it was a ‘SUPER SECRET’ meeting, not a SECRET meeting, but shhhhhhhh, it’s super secret.

He can have a release clause of 130. Doesn’t mean the price that Bournemouth sell for will be that.

Liverpool can get him cheaper than his release clause or can structure payments over a 5-6 year period (which might be more expensive than his release clause)

I ve said before I really want Wharton or somebody who does what he does

But, if we signed him I think it would be so interesting because Iraola didn´t really have anyone like him at Bournemouth. So it would represent either a move away from that style (perhaps) or an evolution.

And then, we have just signed Dom to a 5 year deal, so where is he playing? Or Wirtz.

Wharton has been available all summer and he hasn’t had the distraction of a World Cup. Should have been the first transfer in the door if that’s true. Hughes sitting on his arse doing nothing but counting down the days until he fucks off to KSA.

That is why I dont think we are in for him.

Why wouldn´t we get it done immediately? I guess you could say it suggests nobody is in for him

Or they wanted Iraola’s assessment of what he needs first?

Fair shout, could be.

I was under the impression (mostly because of other fans who seem to know about how we do these things) that the transfer committee or whatever essentially decides, rather than the manager. Maybe that´s not the case and Iraola has big input.

Would make sense wouldn´t it to see what your manager actually wants.

Don’t be coming here with your sensible opinions all we need is knee jerk codswallop

I kind of like how they are now dismissing rumours for players we haven’t been linked to.
