The Unreliable Transfer Rumours Discussion Thread (Part 5)

Clearly they realized Welbeck alone wouldn’t be enough but now they have Henderson too they’ll be fucking unstoppable.

Are they making an over 35’s team and does that count against ffp or whatever it is now called

Chelsea have a problem, they are addicted to signing players but the transfer market has gone crazy. They found the solution that takes care of their itch though!

And Hendo. Chelsea really trying to balance out the age demographic at the club.
Brentford are willing to let him go on a free, apparently.

Probably nonsense, but there aren’t that many rumors going around right now, so I’m just leaving this here.

Yeah,if this the case said cousin is very likely to become unemployed quite soon, and of course Mr Spearman’s cred. If he had any,is down the gurgler.

So it sounds like Barcola to Liverpool is heating up.

Is anyone concerned that he primarily plays left winger though?

Even if we sign him we still need a replacement on the right.

I’m excited about the boys’ creative, original, interesting approach to the transfer market.

Or we could just brute force Barcola, because that method worked wonders last year.

Fancy going in for Rayan in Jan?

yes. very.

He has played a substantial amount of time on the right so… not particularly.

can we get him on loan with a view to purchase for £50M at the end of the season,

then not take up the offer? or offer £25M instead due to his contract running out?

I wouldn’t mind Tomori for the right amount. Experienced homegrown option that hopefully won’t cost a fortune. Would be a good contrast to all the young center backs we have.

I’m not concerned as I think we know we still need someone to play on the right.

Is that 37 games in 6 years, 6 a season, not that many really.

Modern day wingers can easily move from left to right or vice versa, with a bit of coaching. We’ve a great example of that at our own club in recent years!

I’m curious about it, but don’t have any concerns, I think Iraola will have a plan for it. Whether that’s getting another player in or using Munoz/Ngumoah there, maybe Frimpong or even Elliott as in-game options, depending on what the situation calls for. Or even Barcola himself. Someone mentioned Gakpo as an alternative. I haven’t really considered that, but you never know, suddenly it’s happening and making sense.

Even with what I put above, I do agree and the game sometimes needs changing up with RW and LW going to the byline rather than always cutting in so they can deliver a cross with their strongest foot.

Yeah maybe. With the lack of really outstanding left footed right wingers at the moment as well. I wouldn’t be surprised if we don’t go for the gamble that any of them would be at the moment either and stick with what we have with the addition of Barcola.

That figure does account for just over 20% of his total appearances, though. So, still a decent chunk.

Vs 67% of his appearances coming at LW.
