So basically the rumours lately is that…we are set to open talks with psg for barcola…been the same for the last month and nowt has changed

For me it’s more that up until now it’s all come through so-called ITKs, whereas now it’s being put out by mainstream media (L’Equipe, Sky so far), so more reason to think this is the current state of play on the deal, and ITK reports up until now have jumped the gun (insert shocked pikachu face)…

I am fairly puzzled by the Barcola pursuit.. He’s a left Winger and we’re stacked in that area. My guess is the idea to develop as a right footed RW like Semenyo was at B’mouth. Still think we need a natural fit at RW if we actually get Barcola.

Ireola’s wingers are much more multi-functional that the strictly defined Left/Right positions we saw under Klopp and Slot.

I think we’ll see Barcola, Ngumoha, Munoz, and Gakpo all doing bits on the right.

I think the other think we’ll see is Wirtz in the 10 for most games, but for a bit more solidity in the bigger games. I think we’ll see Wirtz on the left, Szoboslai in the 10, Kerkez providing width on the wing and a more reserved right back option on the right.

The reported price for Barcola is ridiculous. Nico Williams has a release clause for £77m and is better.

Oh wow, I would have guessed it was much higher. I remember it was back and forth last summer or the summer before about him going to Barca, but then he chose to stay and sign a new contract.
