I know this isnât related to the point you were making but itâs mental that only four of those players are actually in their squad for this season.

Genuinely think itâs just their model under these owners, treating players like stocks and shares essentially and trading them constantly is the aim rather than a by-product of casting a wide net. Annoyingly, looking at the way they routinely make a profit in purchases, certainly a big enough of one often enough to offset the times they donât, it seems to be working.
If I was a Chelsea fan though I think I would be tearing my hair out, itâs the antithesis of what I want from following a football team.

The other part is that funding additional purchases with sales the way they have is a little bit of an accounting trick that just kicks the can down the road on actually paying the bill. You are allowing yourself accounting room to spend another 100m now for a much bigger bill to come due 5 years down the line

I wonder if they have to have a lot more in the recruitment department and supporting roles to the sporting director to even manage the workload of buying and selling all of these players. Seems chaotic.

To be fair to him he was answering questions sent in by readers and he was quite honest with some things where he said he didnât know or hadnât heard certain information reported elsewhere.
Pinch of salt as always but you need a smaller one with him than most.

I would prefer the young German Bayerleverkusen midfielder Maza he is very adept at breaking the lines of low block teams and moreover he has just been nomĂŽnated for the ballon dâor for the young and upcoming players.
I want someone (Wirtz to be like) like Arda Guler at Real Madrid.
Silky smooth and cocky, with slick passing, good vision and quick feet. Demand the ball and make something happen. Try things.

In regards to todayâs game, he would be in the same boat as Wirtz, still no runners to pass to.

There were a few times a clever pass was on. And heâd likely have created better angles or positions with quick feet and beating players.
But Iâm not talking about today specifically. Apply it to all our games more or less

There were runners but maybe not enough of them. Isak got into positions where he got a few shots off. Maybe the midfield runners and wingers need to do more. Dom looks more assured with Mac so I would think the right pairing is Mac with Dom/Grav. The Dom and Grav pairing has been shite thus far. I sympathise with Wirtz, he is trying but he doesnât do himself favours either with misplaced easy passes. He works hard no doubt and has a good attitude but unfortunately in that advanced position thatâs not enough.
For me he is doing to much running and seems to be doing everyoneâs work at the moment, 3rd game on the trot he has covered the most distance

I remember seeing heat maps last season which showed him making passes all over pitch.
Rumors abound, about Munichâs continued, strong interest in Wirtz. Any takers for a Wirtz plus cash for Olise swap over one of the next two transfer windows?
So we can have the fan base moan about selling someone else who starts performing.
The guys quality we just need to get that working. And swaps only happen nowadays when they need to financial fix.
Rumours abound only when we have a bad result it seems.
