Rumors were that Felipe Luis was furious at the prospect of losing Camara and Monaco decided to renege knowing that they were planning to sell Balogun to Everton anyway. Selling at least one of the two of them was seen as necessary to balance their books.

Well, now Balogun to the Toffees is off. Assuming Chelsea didn’t get a deal sheet in for Camara, it sounds like both are staying at Monaco at least until the winter window.

Monaco shot themselves in the foot, but at the expense of Chelsea and Everton, who lost their top players and failed to replace them…all on deadline day. What’s not to love.
