But the reality is such. Nobody should need to struggle to just survive but the reality is there are. And politics is such that most people becomes apathetic. 140mil voted in the USA. But reality is around 110 mil did not. The apathy is glaring. And I suspect these people are just politic-weary.
Great post mate. Just wanted to augment, and how can you hope to change that system when every 4/5 years new policies enter the field. You just cannot get the sort of change required in even 2 terms in office. Its a pantomime and we are the paying crowd.
Been done with the legitimacy of politics for sometime. Even though swathes of the US are celebrating the ejection of Trump; Im not entirely sure they are simultaneously celebrating the Office of Biden. When the dust settles most will realise nothing of substance will change.
Excellent point. You simply can’t make the changes needed in such a short amount of time. And the billionaires who run the media, and consequently control public opinion, will never allow a left-leaning government to have a second term if, by some miracle, it even wins an election in the first place.
I bet you’re right.
I was thinking more a special trump dictionary with all his twitterisms. These two particularly spring to mind:
'“Despite the constant negative press covfefe”
" We’re going to win bigly"
If we take only the Covid issue, this has primarily been a failure of the executive branch of government. These are failures that Biden’s team can unilaterally address. With the president, people tend to focus on legislation despite the President only having a small role to play in that.
Hey don’t knock the Mr Men
One of them plays for Barcelona now.
I’m expecting it will be just copies of his ‘Art of the Deal’.
We’ve got about four Mr Bumps on our books.
I guess the introduction of a vaccine - if it does get the go ahead, will further increase Trump’s appeals to his supporters after he has left the presidency.
Unfair comment, the Map Collection alone will be a unique historical resource
What Par will this course be?
Sheesh. It’s surreal - there’s so many of these moments as well, just in 4 years. It’s almost impressive but equally quite astonishing that there are seemingly no repercussions (beyond being voted out of office).
It feels like Twitter’s been firmer on Trump than the House.
It’s a 77 for Biden but a 74 for Trump (he’s shooting off the ladies’ tees).
There is something elegant about the obvious lack of comprehension involved in adding a small extension onto the largest bubble of the probability path. Yet because there was no clear harm, we all moved on in about two days.
Ever read some of the accounts from people who have golfed with him? He is a remarkable cheat.
Why am I not surprised! Another free drop.
That’s just it.
Well, that was fucking batshit wasn’t it? But at least nobody died. On to the next fucking insanity, let’s hope it doesn’t involve the most fatal global pandemic of our lifetimes…
Oh.
