It’s what it looks like. :stuck_out_tongue:

Lol seems like with the refs, pundits VAR etc. On the oppositions side

The gaps were there against Burnley, we just didn’t exploit them.

Though I feel we pressed Man Utd more yesterday, in fact at times it reminded me of the Klopp from the first two seasons.

It’s still early days, but I’m fast getting disillusioned about him. Three yellow cards already too.

Has to stop these silly tackles or he will be seeing red cards.

About our only midfielder who can make a move look fluid and pick a meaningful, forward pass. If he’s to start every game with a yellow, it will be a worry, though. I admire his zeal, it’s great to have a player who combines desire with genuine quality but he’ll have to time his tackles better.

Has he made the intended impact though. I know it’s (still) early days, but he hasn’t made any/much differences.

Doesn’t help when the mentality of all around him is to be as static as possible, to pass backwards at all costs, and avoid the opposition penalty area like the plague.

IMO he should be playing higher up the pitch with Fabinho or Henderson in the 6 role.

Trust Phillips, who has been excellent whenever given the chance, and our two new centre backs.

Fabinho 6
Henderson and Thiago in front of him.
Jones at the tip of the diamond
Salah Mané

Let’s roll.

He still see’s and picks great passes to break the congestion in midfield but it seems to then break down, by us moving the ball too slowly. Also to step up he will need more fluidity and movement around him.

I don’t know, young Curtis seems to have the drive.

He isn’t playing deep anymore. Wijnaldum is behind him.

A proper 6 @Iftikhar don’t think Wijnaldum is that. Gündoğan kept running past him.

Today. But Wijnaldum was dog tired today. He was very good in this position before. But yes, Fabinho is a better #6 than both Wijnaldum and Henderson.

Gini is useless if a player comes straight at him just let’s them run past.

More fouls than tackles like Firmino. We all should know Gini doesn’t tackle he can hassle well when he feels like it.

He needs to rethink his tackling. He goes to ground far to easily, and you aren’t getting away with the ones he puts in, not in the Premier League, and certainly not if you play for Liverpool.

Yeah, noticed that very early with him. It’s like he’s too eager to prove he also has that side of the game in a new league with it’s reputation, etc. Was a little bit surprised as he’s a top experienced player, thought “f*ck it, even a guy like him can be a bit too excited like a kid”. Thought it would take 2-3 games for him to calm down, but not yet. Calm down a little bit Thiago, you can cope with the physicality of this league without going into tackles like that. I also don’t like him at RCM, hoped that Jones would play there yesterday (and they did flip a few times).

Jury is out on Thiago. But to be be fair im pretty sure he wasnt brought in to play alongside Gini (I think the club thought he’d be gone by now) and other squad members.

Id like to see him play alongside Hendo and Fab then he can be judged.
