Brewster might be sold but I doubt it will be related to Thiago. If we sell Brewster, I would expect to go for another attacker.
Instead, I think we all saw against Leeds that our midfield is a relatively weak link.
Relatively… because it isn’t weak but the balance could be improved.

Er. No. Go and have a look at the Thiago thread on TIA. Alot of people couldn’t get their heads around it and worked themselves up into a tizz about the LB situation. Then even after we signed a LB, there was this whole ‘We don’t need him, Gini/Thiago argument’.

I was in it mate. It’s hardly a left-field, how on Earth did you predict that one. He’s the player we’ve been most likely to sign for month. The bookies suspended betting on it a while ago.

To be fair though, a lot of people questions his fitness and injury concerns. Not to mention we were told constantly that this is simply not the profile of player FSG, Klopp or Edwards would go after , because he wasn’t that age group we usually buy at. I remember when the rumour first surfaced , a lot of people on the threads were rubbishing the move. They said Gini was also the better alternative to Thiago which… I don’t think is true, but Gini has been a stalwart in this team which has achieved so much, it only makes sense for people to be worried about team balance.

AOC’s injury was reported to be very similar to Henderson’s. I assume it will take a least a month until he’s training again, probably meaning that we’ll see him in action at the start of November if everything goes well.
