Thiago Alcantara (CM) Bayern Munich

Match day midfield still bloated even if all of those you mention depart.

FSG OUT

I can already hear fans from other teams calling him the ā€œFaux Suedeā€.

Is that like a soggy biscuit :astonished:

Nope, that accolade belongs to Klopp!

So pleased with this signing, it completely tears up the rule book for opposition teams on how to play us.

Stifle our creativity on the flanks, boom, we rip you up through the middle, try stop Thiago, boom, Trent/Robbo run riot.

I can see the following situation quite easily occuring;

Matip injured so Fabinho and Hoever being the defensive subs on the bench in case we need any form of defender or DM to come on. Henderson and Thiago starting in CM with Keita in AM, Jones on the LF position to cover one of the front 3 having a rest. Wijnaldum and Milner on the bench and Ox being injured. So with only one mid injured every other would be counted on in the match day squad for important roles. Thatā€™s not unbelievable with a jam packed schedule.

Certainly a possibility. But if we can sell to buy a wide forward and center back cover, I think that makes more sense

What some of us have been calling for all summer. A much better option than signing a ā€˜Klavanā€™ instead of Thiago.

@ZinedineBiscan was right. This dayā€™s been a write off so far, time to log off social media! The reactions on there from rival fans have been priceless.

Gini staying hopefully, Karius, Grujic, Shaqiri, Wilson gone, Sarr maybe to come in.

Alisson
Trent
Gomez
VvD
Robertson
Henderson
Thiago
Keita
Salah
Firmino
ManƩ

Adrian, Kelleher, Williams, Matip, Fabinho, Tsimikas, Wijnaldum, AOC, Milner, Jones, Elliott, Minamino, Sarr, Origi

Brewster on loan or sold with added extras

I donā€™t think we can let Brewster and Origi leave (permanently or on loan) without adding more than Sarr to the squad though. So Iā€™m guessing weā€™ll keep at least one of them with us.

Itā€™s brilliant that weā€™ve been consistently improving the squad whilst still making a profit on player trading (even taking into account new improved contracts).

Iā€™m too young to remember how the club was run under the likes of Robinson, Smith and Twentyman but these last 3 years are the best period I can remember.

What a time to be a Liverpool fan. Iā€™m only sorry there are so many no longer around to see it.

I suspect so as well. Gini, Wilson, and Grujic are the obvious choices here, but Iā€™ve been wondering if these links involving Ox are true, too.

Slick. So we run a dance company now. I take that with the quadroupleā€¦ :upside_down_face:

The quote button doesnā€™t pop up when you press down on the text to highlight it? Because it does for me and I almost exclusively view this site on my mobile (using the Chrome for Android browser).

I am legit so excited over all of this. LETā€™S GOOO.

Actually looking forward to Thiago and Keita playing together, as I think they will both form a partnership as deadly as the likes of Dalglish/Rushā€¦Dalglish/Sounessā€¦I know weā€™ve had many great partnerships and have great ones even now with Bobby/Salah . Bobby/Saneā€¦but I think the midfield is going to rock in the coming weeks and then our forwards and just going to be on fire
