Where’s the toilets?
Nice… always wanted to visit Iceland.
I gave up toilet photography after my last arrest
I am at T-5 Heathrow, going to Lisbon, i never been there before, staying in the suburb, not far from the city centre. I am going to attend a baptism on Saturday and then staying an extra week.
Any tips and recommendations on Lisbon?
As a football fan, i hope to pay homage to Eusebio statue:pray:
Have a safe and pleasant trip
It’s a beautiful city, enjoy!
Get around on foot/public transport as much as possible, it’s a beautiful city.
Stay safe in the heat. Eat lots of food.
Am staying in an Airbnb place with the family whose daughter’s baptism it is. It is in Roma suburb. Really nice. There are two lovely Cafes for breakfast and lunch. I sm going to be so fat when i get back to Londonm
The first night , we went to this place called Casa de Goa, a roof top restaurant, overlooking the city, was opened last year. Very swanky place. Then, i thought were going to rest, we went to a night club:see_no_evil:, at my age, i need my ovaltine by 10 pm.
We got home 2:30 am😵💫
The heat is not too bad, it is very breezy here. I have to wear hat and dark glasses though, the sunlight is very bright and strong.
Great stuff Maria, enjoy!
Hope you following the transfer shenanigans on here @Maria… Its electric :0)
Yes, i am. It is a flipping shambles. FSG are a joke! Are we losing Caciedo to Chelsea now?
Enjoy your vacation Maria , Liverpool will set it right… Hopefully
Just doing hop off hop on city
tour from Bélem. Now in Restauradous metro. It is hot🥵. I need to be in the freezer!!
We are still on the tour bus, we are doing 3 routes, on the last one and it is 36 degrees
hang in there! Lisbon is on my list of places, I suggested it for next month but NYC had other ideas.
Just come back. Having a cuppa tea. I really like the district if Roma to stay,so many nice places to eat for breakfast, lunch and dinner if you don’t fancy going into the city centre.
Lisboa is a beautiful city, i highly recommend it. The food is lovely so far.
Omg! The seafood is amazing here and the steak and it is so cheap compared to London prices.
Yesterday, it was at the iconic Benfica stadium (stadio de Luz), doing the tour.
It was an amazing experience, i had goosebumps. When you walk into the stadium it hits you. My friend who i am staying with, her Dad knew the players from the 1980s like Chau. Her dad used to take her to the old stadium which was then, 100,000 capacity. It brought back so much memories for her, she is not a huge football fan, but her whole family are Benfica. She grew up near there.
Benfica is 75,000 capacity, with 45,000 season ticket holders.
I saw the 3 eagles, Vitoria, Gloriosa and Lusz. Before every Benfica match, Vitoria flies frm one corner of the stadium to the other.
The tour guide said, they were unable to show the Benfica dressing room or the presidential box because rival fans would come and damage/smash something there. So, they decided to take it off the tour list.
He also said, even though Sporting is their local rival, Porto is the main rival. The rivalry is very intense, they have to have the police there all the time and the ambulance.
Also, Sporting Lisbon is near to Benfica too.
I did see one miserable Sporting Lisbon fan with his Benfica mate, he deliberately wore his Sporting Lisbon shirt. He hated being there
There were loads of people on the tour from Norway, Holland, Germany etc, many from Latin America. The tour guide says alot of English fans come too.
I have to say the photos they take of you to buy are very well presented in a large booklet, better than the ones i got on LFC tour.
This tour was worth every Euro if you love football in general from all over the world and you want to see famous iconic stadia. €12.50 tour and €17.50 for tour and museum.
