Trent ALEXANDER-ARNOLD: 2020/21

Very likely. Let’s hope it isn’t for even longer.

It is what it is, and if it had to happen then better now and not later during the tournament.

I really feel for him, but maybe he really needs a long rest.

Just heard Southgate say, it maybe a thigh injury, the medical team are assessing TAA.

I know there’s much more important things going on but that’s bollocks. Southgate could have stopped the media outrage anytime. Everything being said now is just face saving exercises. The Ultra supportive of England/Southgate journalists reporting on it (lots of them) never would have gone with their reports otherwise unless briefed. They all love Gareth and do everything they can to make him look as good as possible.

Sadly it now looks like he’s got what he wanted in the worst possible way.

Probable his Achilles then, given this pricks track record.

It could also be indicative of his favourite pen, if we’re speculating.

He might just be talking about his interest in playing for a knob like Southgate.

Which is why I wasn’t necessarily up in arms by the ESL (sporting considerations notwithstanding) as the various governing bodies are not running the game well.

Yeah but Perez was.

Anyhow if it’s a muscle or something then I’m not too bothered, gives him a proper rest, sad for him but then he shouldn’t be playing 90 mins of a friendly before a tournament, I assume Southgate could have replaced the entire team like they often can in these games, and it’s not like he hasn’t got any other right backs.

Frankly dumb by Southgate.

Perez wasn’t either, obviously!

But I think I’d rather clubs like ours had more say in running the show, than what we have now.

Sadly it felt to me like Perez was running the show a bit along with that bloke from Juventus.

I think John could have been smarter anyhow off topic, that’s done in that guise at least.

The issue here is Southgate played one of his right backs for 90 mins in a friendly, he is taking 4.

Yep, Southgate is an idiot.

I swear I expected him to get injured in Euros after all the ruckus about his inclusion in the team. To get injured in a friendly, though, that’s Liverpool way, I don’t know why I didn’t think of it.

Probably more beneficial for us this way (which isn’t usually the case) a bad injury in the QFs could have been an issue for us, I assume he will be fine if this keeps him out of the Euros.

I don’t think Southgate will take him if he is out for the groups.

He will fuck up Henderson too mark my words.

Well, my post from this morning didn’t age well. speedy recovery to Trent.

Fucking Hell so let me get this right - a player who Southgate hasn’t fancied and has been rumour to miss the whole tournament plays 87 mins of a meaningless friendly and gets a fucking injury.

Fuck off Southgate and England you absolute cunts.

Clueless.

Hope Trent now has to withdraw coz you fucking morons are going to ruin him for us.

Rest well Trent and be ready for August.

Especially when he played the likes of lingard and ward prowse who aren’t even going.
So to play a RB for as long as he did when he has 3 others is crazy.
Maybe he was hoping TAA would get injured so he could take 3 and bring in another midfielder as he is only taking about 5 of those.

My take on this is that Southgate used him as a pawn - “dropped” him with every intention to bring him back into the squad for the finals, so that he can then boast to everyone that his “big bollocks” decision to drop him was the cause for TAA’s upturn in form.

The England medical staff had better make the right decision - worst case is that they say he can play on with a little niggle, but then injures it further in a few weeks.

That was my first thought as well, but I dismissed the idea as I doubt that southgate is sufficiently intelligent to be that Machiavellian.
