Trent ALEXANDER-ARNOLD: 2020/21

You’re not wrong, 6 weeks is optimistic, for a tear. More likely 8-10 weeks.

If it was to go and it likely would have its best to go now than 2-3 weeks down the line.

The whole of football needs fucking root and branching. Football clubs pay huge fees for players, or develop them in Trent’s case, and pay them huge salaries, only for them to get injuries in friendly games of meaningless international football.

I haven’t forgotten what England did to Daniel Sturridge.

At the root of all this is money. Blazered fat old cunts, creaming it in off the back off young athletes with no regard for the strain they are placing on these bodies, and scant regard for the multi million pound investments clubs have in these players.

If there is one fight the big clubs could take on it’s this. I’d like to see the top 20 clubs in Europe work together to make it clear that the current situation isn’t tenable, and the national organisations must start cooperating with the clubs around minutes played, fitness and training programmes being followed, and how many friendly games can be organised.

Hopefully Trent isn’t too bad, but It’s now touch and go for pre-season.

Fantastic news. A good rest will do our lads the world of good.
(Now, if only Euro and Copa America could get canned too…)

Sad to see Trent be injured for absolutely nothing, but here goes… get well soon, lad, see you hopefully at the start of pre-season.

Every time I look at Gareth Southgate I see Borat. He looks just like Borat. Manages like him too.

Doppelganger for Bruno Fernandes…

Optimistic but hopefully

I initially thought it was great news but after looking at the calendar, it is terrible for us. The new season starts at 14th Aug 2021. We are now at 3rd June 2021. For TAA to recover and finish his rehab would take 8 weeks at the most optimistic POV. This means he will miss out on a big bulk of pre-season, leaving him at most 2 weeks of pre-season…

So fuck you, Gareth Southgate! I hope that you end up losing your job when you somehow contrive to get England booted out at the group stages!

How the fuck he even gets an OBE when his biggest achievement as a player is getting Crystal Palace to the Premier League and his biggest achievement as manager is losing to the croats in a 3rd place playoff??

Totally agree with this, the fans and the clubs need to stand together for the health & safety of the players, who with the number of games are literally being run into the ground.

Ingerland, greatest country in the world! All other countries are run by little girls!

In a way I’m glad he isn’t playing considering the conduct of the fans in regards to “taking the knee”.

Are Neco and Millie the only plausible cover we have for Trent?

You could play Ox at full back.

Gini was the next one in line…

Hendo played there a couple times, but again only really should happen in a mid-game injury situation.

There would also be cover from the LBs - Robbo or Tsimikas, but you wouldn’t want to have to do that for more than a game or two.

I don’t have much faith in Neco I’m afraid. Don’t see why Millie can’t do a job there. He played at LB and is right footed so should be comfortable enough. Of course it won’t be the same, but ok as a stop gap surely.
