Trent ALEXANDER-ARNOLD: 2020/21

It happened before pre season started, remember that he hasn’t traveled with the group. And apparently he is still suffering from post fatigue syndromes or something like this.
We still don’t know enough about the virus.

We have already several players who got infected with the virus and everyone is just expecting/demanding that they will be able to carry on as if nothing has happened.

That’s not how it works for some people, even high trained athletes are struggling afterwards.

But hey ho, sell him!

I see that. https://www.premierinjuries.com/. has him on the latest (last night) new injury list with ‘Other’. My Grandson, about the same age, caught it in November, and has been very unwell since, we think Long Covid. Maybe this is what Trent has, he’s not looked right for a while poor lad.

So he won’t be available for the United game?

Have the club said anything? That site isn’t up to date at the best of times nowadays.

I am at the point where I’m just unwilling to criticise anything about this season. There is so much shit going round from viral issues, to empty stadiums, portacabin changing rooms, socially distanced training, players cocooned in bubbles unable to enjoy even the scant freedoms we’ve had, that it just seems unfair. We have got a clue what’s going on.

Look at Minamino. He was fucking brilliant at Salzburg. Comes to Liverpool, and as soon as he’s through the door the whole season gets cancelled and the players get locked down right when he should be settling, getting to know the club and his teammates. And people were on his back as soon as the season restarted. It’s absurd really.

I’ll happily admit that over the last year I’ve not even been close to my best work. It just been a shit year.

Are all clubs not subject to the same rules and regs though? The issues you detail apply to all teams surely. Things might be different but dealt with properly, we should all be able to perform as well as normal. It’s not like we’re in the blitz or a famine.

Needs dropping, not sure what has happened but he is completely lost at the moment… Be it stupid crossing ad nauseam, to shirking his defensive duties and going walkabouts…

Needs some time on the bench watching someone else play, a bit of time to reflect and rediscover his mojo.

That last chance for Burnley was typical for the way he plays at the moment. He was just jogging behind the forward and it seems he was thinking others will solve that. I more and more get the feeling that he thinks that defending is beneath him and that he is just there to give an assist.

Milner should sort him out on the training pitch.

I’ve been pretty scathing recently, but yesterday was world class Trent. What a difference.

Gone was the aimless crossing, he made good decisions… At points running with ball to make himself space, crossing early and accurately…

Keep it up laaad!

Guess Milner did. :stuck_out_tongue:

I was delighted to see him back to form last night, as I said in the Burnley game he got so much space and did nothing last night he ironically got less space but he was far better.

He wasn’t his former/usual self, but something resembling that last night. I’m actually pleasantly surprised, didn’t expect him to transform that quickly. Atta boy

Absolute class. Most players, let alone right backs, can only dream of such an output.

First question, mistake by Sky’s reporter. He made his debut a year after Klopp took over, not 17 days.
